Having blue and counterspells allows you to not play chalice+mox. If you aren't playing blue, you need the Chalice+mox to gain momentum.

You are definitely relying on Wasteland(+Loam) to get you ahead vs BUG. Having the DD-Stage out helps, as besides Diabolic Edict they don't have many ways to deal with it. Toxic Deluge main can help...

I don't think I would have kept that hand, especially on the play. But it's tough. With a 2nd land it would be much better.

They have a lot of basics so they fetch around Wasteland easily. Chalice on 1 only shuts down their cantrips, 0 shuts out petals. Not always enough.

If Elves also goes up you will miss the chalices though. Gonna need some time to see how it shakes up.
