What's our preferred strategy vs. Czech Pile, these days? I've been finding this a frustrating match of late.

What's our preferred strategy vs. Czech Pile, these days? I've been finding this a frustrating match of late.
Well, we're back in the place I like us to be; congratulations to us.
I haven't had a chance to look at almost any of the coverage of the GP, but I didn't notice us in the top 16. I hope we at...
From my perspective, THIS ^^
R/G Lands is still my nemesis. I don't think there is a deck against which I have a worse percentage. I've actually proxied up the deck to get a sense of it from the inside out and I've played...
I've noticed the same. Because I have never found an especially effective sideboard plan for Lands, I do exactly what you said: I focus on going off is quickly as possible.
Way to go, Julian. I'm wondering if you ran into a higher than normal percentage of sweepers? Our star should be rising now and I anticipate that we'll be seeing more low cc sweepers in others'...
Congratulations. Sounds like you had a great experience. I'd be interested in more detail about your Lands match-ups. Thanks.
I have not. I have found this match to be heavily against us since this deck emerged. While we have good draws against them, they typically have better draws against us. The deck is rare enough...
Not really answering your question, but I hate playing against Leovold when I'm piloting elves. Bummer that an elf punishes us so much.
Thanks for the post ^^ and congrats on a good tourney.
Could you tell us a bit more about the Silkweaver?
I agree with this but would add Eldrazi to the list as a particularly challenging match.
Also some configurations of burn are quite tough.
B/R Reanimator--a mostly brainless thing to pilot--is a...
I haven't found this to be the case. Could you elaborate? I think the published record of Elves v. Eldrazi also doesn't bear out this being a good match up, but I might be confused. Either way,...
Happy New Year!
Perhaps in 2017 WotC will grant Henweigh's wish.
Nice one Julian.
Nice Yoshi on the Forests!
Why did the emblems say "Nissa, Vital Force is colorless."?
The 1/4 body is nice, reach is excellent, being an elf is always sweet, but the 3cc doesn't seem worth it to me in Legacy Elves, chaos or not.

There really is a greatest elves player . . . Win or lose: it is always a treat to watch you play, Julian.
Hey Julian: Would you be willing to take a few minutes to share with us what was going on in your head during those games. I'd understand if you want to wait until after the tournament is over--but...
Julian: Brilliant sideboarding and playing. You really made the most out of an ugly situation.
Looks like we're back in the minors.
Can you talk more about the eldrazi match?
Excellent report, Julian. Thanks so much for doing it.
Would you mind taking a few minutes to reflect on your Eldrazi match ups? One went well, one didn't. This is a new deck for us to face,...
What are you really asking here? Is it whether it is better to have creatures with hexproof or regeneration or pumping or other abilities?
Here's a link to a description of the championship match, with photos.

Watching Julian pilot Elves is great. Hearing Julian pilot elves is even better. Bummer.
As I mentioned above, I would trust Julian's instincts over mine.
That said, Warping Wail looks to be a nice sideboard card for some decks, especially those that already use lands like Wasteland...
