if you are living in the states events like comiccon or gencon with lots of artists attending are probably your best bet to get huge chunks signed at once if you don't want to mail out your cards....

I am pretty sure I just got one each day at the beginning of the events. 100 total seems completely off.

Never seen a single Richard Thomas altered card (status quo of certain artists changes quite quickly sometimes though) plus not being signed makes me doubt it was done by the artist.
