Has anyone ever tried/considered Spirit of the Labyrinth instead of Thalia?
I've tested a few hours against the #1 U/W/R Delver from the most resent StarCityGames. I started with my Grenzo list and slowly transformed it into Jim Davis list. The results remained unchanged...
Could you explain that further? I don't see your point.. I've never had any problem casting him with 22 lands from which 1 badlands, 6 fetch and 4 cavern (nor did I have any problems using him). Why...
@Olaf Forkbeard My list is completely different. After almost 8 hours of testing I run the following list:
4 Goblin Lackey
4 Goblin Warchief
3 Goblin Matron
4 Grenzo, Dungeon Warden
4 Gempalm...
As I said before.. Genzo doesn't compete with Ringleader. I would never suggest dropping Ringleaders.. I'm talking about about the power level of the card and comparing it to Ringleader (our most...
Grenzo can be dropped at turn 4 (or even at turn 3) with vial and you can spend all your 4 mana to flip cards.. Grenzo could have already been flipping cards at turn 3 because you played him at turn...
Cost/Efficiency comparison between Grenzo and Ringleader:
Lets assume we play a Ringleader and reveal the following cards: Goblin Matron, Goblin Piledriver, Goblin Lackey and Mountain. It's turn 4...
Foodchain is a lot better I think.. we can already produce infinite mana with it (or skirk prospector); allowing us to play our whole library with the new legend.
If you are looking into maximizing Grenzo you might want to consider hideaway lands like: Spinerock Knoll. It's the best and easiest way to stack things in order on the bottom of our library I think....
That's not strictly true.. Does Enchantress care about Thorn/Thalia? Sure it makes them slower but it doesn't keep them from locking you. At least Eidolon will help you race them before the lock...
I assume you will share the testing results that lead to this conclusion?
No, it's a creature (and enchantment) card in your library, hand and on the stack (spell). In other words you can Vial him in. When he's in play your devotion to red is checked.
Replacing 4 Warchief with 4 Chieftain and your two drop (Instigator/War Marshal) with Frogtosser Banneret can give you the best of both worlds.
You realize that casting Brainstorm during your draw step will result in 8 damage right? Not to mention Griselbrand..
Using your opponents Stoneforge Mistake to fetch your sideboarded Manriki-Gusari would also be a funny play.
He can also copy True-Name Nemesis!
Don't forget that a Phyrexian Metamorph can also copy artifacts like Vial, Jitte, Swords, Bridge, Relic and Batterskull.
Isn't Living Death a strictly better card since it's also a board sweeper?
Getting your early game lackey/warchief countered by a fow = card advantage. Getting dazed is tempo advantage. Decks running counters were never a problem for Goblins. The strength of CoS is pushing...
Yet he wins (almost) every match without Cavern of Souls
Mirror Entity has already been tested by several people and it was found to be underwhelming, if I remember correctly.
Ok, you can't be serious when you say that goblins doesn't need any upgrades.. most goblins we have are from an era where Nimble Mongoose was the strongest one drop we faced.
Take a moment to...
Do keep in mind that Goblin Diplomats is very conditional.. it does nothing on it's own.
- doesn't effect creatures that have summoning sickness;
- your opponent can still have a blocker by...
When Tuktuk the Explorer dies, put a legendary 5/5 colorless Goblin Golem artifact creature token named Tuktuk the Returned onto the battlefield.
When Tuktuk the Explorer hits the graveyard, from...
Why don't you brainstorm a list yourself and post it here for feedback?
