Dude it's a six-mana spell, it SHOULD do something. The Titan cycle is essentially a decent to good spell attached to a large body.
I wish people would stop saying Titans when what they really mean is Primeval Titan. Additionally the Titan cycle was an attempt to make a six-mana creature cycle that would be tournament playable....
Have you been around for any major rule change? This is the same reaction they all get regardless of the actual outcome. It's quaint you may think otherwise, but every major change to the rules has...
Why would you ever play a mono-colored deck in a format with fetches and duals?
Hint: Vintage players used to refer to Brainstorm as the Ancestral nobody knew to counter.
This is impressive in a world where there are no real Modern events.
MTG Chicago is a known ripoff artist. Don't ever buy from him.
Hint: The bolded doesn't mean anything except in your mind. You are making an arbitrary distinction with no bearing on reality or WOTC's actual decision-making process.
Modern is basically Legacy lite minus all the blue checks and balances. Everything unfair wins on turn 2/3 and everything fair wins or can completely take over a game on turn 4.
From Chapin's article today:
Obviously if you want to read the rest, premium and all that mess.
Apparently I was a year off in calling Hive Mind a legit deck. This finals is actually unreal.

...Is this real? Honestly? Because nothing else could possibly change to make this card a worse option over six months OTHER THAN 'oh everybody? i had a revelation. 1 of the 2-3 total equipments we...
Unless someone audibled, everyone who worked with team CF has it. They realized pretty early on Stoneforge was ridic.
this, very this. You're exhausted at the end of the day and being able to help a friend out instead of playing a meaningless match is great.
Link to your results with Reanimator anywhere? I'll hang up and listen.
Budget cuts. It was a very cool award to give to a select group of players, but it was really expensive to hold without a ton of upside. The community cup for Magic Online is seen as the spiritual...
Do people ever get tired of repeating this same line of rationalization?
Oh and the latter is the reason Vintage is dead. Good call there.
They announced it banned in 1.5 and restricted in Vintage before it ever saw play, yes. It was part of a normal announcement cycle though. They simply figured that allowing the card as a 4-of would...
Sadly Skullclamp was around for months and it became a format where nearly every single deck ran it.
The only Emergency Banning (Out of schedule ban) is Memory Jar. It was still legal for 2-3...
Yeah they definitely cared about an event 6 hours away from them. Plus some players that would be attending LA are going to stay local for the PTQ that same weekend and some of them do play Legacy /...
None of this means that the combat is actually difficult or complex in any fashion.
Flash for Legacy. That's probably the only true horror show I can remember.
Standard: anything with skullclamp, affinity post-clamp
Extended: Necro, Necro-Trix, Tinker, Grim Jar and others....
