He just mentioned he could storm for 7, so that's 14 goblins. 6 of which would die to Emrakul, leaving 8, to attack his opponent down to 7 life, then lose on the second attack to lethal damage.

Are there enough creatureleas decks that playing Telemin Performance becomes better than Bribery vs the bevy of Griselbrand decks? The former is a win vs a smaller subset than the latter.
Noted. I'll adjust the post to account for it.
That was my "less than 1 minute" conclusion as well, but there were a lot of differing opinions about that line of play from the other viewers. (FYI, I was viewing, not playing. The actions taken in...
An interesting scenario came up in Joe's Miracle stream tonite.
It's Game 3 versus The EPIC Storm. We made a misplay by letting Xantid Swarm resolve, then decided to jump in front of it with...
No, that's incorrect. RUG is always playing 4 Ponder. Gitaxian Probe is a recent addition that's not permanent yet.
Trop-Ponder would leads me to suspect RUG Delver, but Volc-Ponder is too...
*pats on head* Good boy! You did well! You Top 8 a Starcity Event!
I was sad to see Royce couldn't convert 4 Silence cast into Victory in G1 of Top 8; so... there's that.
From personal experience, chantwalk has been my number one worst feeling as the Elves player. Modern Elves list don't run ESG, so any possibility of turn 1 hate piece is out of possibility. This...
I'm a fan. I can't get it in Korean to begin with, and the art is an upgrade to PV's chicken scratch.art. It also shows Race, the Mind Blunder; Jace's hot-tempered cousin.
I would against RUG, if they still keep in Bolts, then they have many more dead draws.
FWIW, The Tourney Practice room is filled with an overconcentration of Burn and Monoblack. Be aware of this fact when looking at the results.
I want to see it against Miracles or BUG w/ Thoughtseize/DRS/FoW stylings.
Against reanimating Griselbrand, they can attack for 7 and have to pass the turn; maybe drawing some cards to go off next turn.
Against reanimating Emrakul, just hope that you're at >15 life and can...
Karakas doesn't so much to beat Tin Fins anyway, it will likely only stop Emrakul kills. Pretty much, the best way to beat Tin Fins is Silence in response to the reanimation spell.
That's a better argument against playing it than all the others I've considered. Fair point.
BW->Bribery is about as good as IT->Ad Nauseum against Griselbrand decks.
Congrats on your win, Bryant Cook!
I find ANT to be less consistent than TES as well, based on my own testing and tournament experience. Being the slower deck, ANT has more issues with cards like Counterbalance & Deathrite Shaman...
Chain of Vapor is awesome in its versatility. I always include at least a couple in all Storm decks I run.
What the shit? You lost to Goblins and Merfolk? Is this 2008?
My actual reason for playing Abrupt Decay, actually.
I have no allegiance to any deck. I play whatever gets easy wins at any given metagame. DDFT is more of a mental exercise to keep the brain sharp. TES is for crushing face when you expect to not...
Use lube* next time.
* tears of burn players who lost holding on to Pyrostatic Pillar in hand as they take 20 on Turn 1.
Ha! And you think I was kidding about how frustrating it was to play against Burn on my stream. GDI Budget Burn!
The former is a zero mana answer to cards that prevent us from winning.
The latter costs us a turn, 2 life, and can only cast 9 spells in the deck.
