Re: [Deck] Dreadstill - Enter the Fist

List is pretty funny, but Moon kinda antagonizes the reason to play Dreadnought. I think you'd be hard pressed to say the list wouldn't just win more by cutting all the Dreadnought stuff and play...

Re: [Deck] Canadian Threshold (aka RUG Delver, Tempo Thresh)

@KobeBryan that deck can't run green and also be aggressive. Arcanist is also quite unplayable alongside Stifle b/c it demands tap out and jam play patterns.

    Re: [Deck] UW(x) Landstill

If you're dead-set on using Heliod's, I'd pick an enchant that deals with TNN + Mother of Runes over Soul Snare; preferably one that can also kill >1 thing, or keeps them from playing a second threat...

Just a couple notes on your observations. Agree that Dayís Undoing + Standstill probably not really meant to play together (alas, this is the premise of the thread). Disagree on Narset being...

    Re: Narset Standstill

The start of most every Tundra deck that competes in legacy is StP x4 and SCM x3. There is a fringe starting point of Tundra as RiP/Helm which does not use SCM. The next place for improvement is -4...

Re: [Deck] Canadian Threshold (aka RUG Delver, Tempo Thresh)

People also said Goyf didnít synergize with DRS. The #1 card holding Goose down was Strix, Wa6 is able to solve this problem multiple times over on a single card which also generates value into what...

More likely to see play as a totally uncastable -1 SB slot in decks that canít beat SnT.

    Re: Core Set 2020 Spoilers

It's honestly not too hard to get 7 land names with Standstill by playing some snow basics, I can see it as a viable SB card. Playing it main seems ambitious as it screams Azcanta must be in your...

Re: [Deck] Canadian Threshold (aka RUG Delver, Tempo Thresh)

I'd be putting the Cindervines main over Cspell and Stifle #4. This deck's worst matchups [particularly mainboard] have always been Vial, Hymn/SCM/Kcomm/Strix, CB, Chalice, and ANT. Cindervines helps...

    Re: Mono U Tempo Delver

Fetches make Ponder better as well. Even without cantrips Iíd still play them as they mill lands out of the deck; as an added bonus they function as pseudo-mana in the yard (thresh/delve-type...

    Re: The London Mulligan

Take for instance Git Probe -> Sea -> Therapy, lose 2 cards on turn 0 (a play pattern made intolerable by Grixis Delver). This is of course far more abusive than Tomb/Chalice b/c it doesn't just...

    Re: Legacy Innovations and Brews

@mistercakes on the Foil/Narset/Draw 7 deck. I forgot about Foil's Island requirement so probably land base 10 Island, 4 Vista, 4 Tomb, pick 2 utility land. I will say though that being able to...

Issue is more that Ancient Tomb is made exploit/parasitize the going first mechanic. (The same can be said of Chancellor and to a lesser degree Leylines)

    Re: Heliod Stasis

At this point you would cut Stasis entirely and just be Standstill. There really isn't any reason to run Heliod in Standstill either. In the Still shell it's easier to run B2B in board given Teferi. ...

I think you've gotten good feedback so far. It's hard to convey the difference between being direct and being negative with the written word. Your list doesn't work for a couple of reasons, and it's...

    Re: Legacy Innovations and Brews

Eh, the issue is that Mentor gets worse with each additional copy you run past ~2, and worse again for each other creature [not called Snapcaster] you topdeck. This anti-synergy is why Esper Mentor...

    Re: 8Force

You could try the Verdict w/ 8x FoW effects vs DnT [go all-in on countering Vials], but it also means you kinda have to keep all 8x in post-board. This likely screws up sideboard mapping as you have...

-The reason Tundra competes in legacy is 3x SCM.
    -23 lands is 1-2x too many. (Mentor ~ 22 land, Myth ~ 21 land).
-Myth Realized requires 3-4x slots, whereas Mentor requires 2x.
