    Re: Miracle Control

Has anyone tried Engineered Explosives and/or Council's Judgment over Unexpectedly Absent yet with the Portent build? I'd be curious about your results.

4x Meddling Mage would be useful against both combo and lands.

    RE: SFM Package

I'd rather have SFM in a Delver heavy metagame than an extra pyroblast and a land. I get a lot of flack from my local for playing Stoneforge in Miracles, but I do it anyways...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

Most of my wins against MUD seem to come when they're stuck in topdeck mode. They don't have much deck manipulation, so I put extra focus on dealing with their first couple of turns. Ideally, I...

Is Sphinx's Revelation good in this deck? Seems like if you cast it "late," you're probably drawing ~3 cards and gaining ~3 life?

Are you only running the 1 copy in your sideboard? How frequently are you able to dig for that?

Dzra: Your evolutionary sense on Batterskull makes sense to me. The one deviation I'd throw out there is that these decks are playing double Batterskull. Generally decks are able to deal with one,...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

@AnziD: I'd leave all copies of RIP in against Dredge. I've had opponents just scoop after resolving RIP against them. I also like STP to -exile- their creatures.

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

That's fine -- it's just a personal preference with the deck. I'm not sure that Stoneforge allows you to close out a game any sooner than Entreat normally would, it just allows you to deploy a...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

I play SFM because it's a cheap efficient threat. I board into Sword of Feast and Famine against combo decks. Between that and batterskull, it seems to work well. I'm always a little antsy to tap...

Cool. I'd be curious to see his list--I pilot an SFM version, too. Does Joe B. lurk these forums? :)

Is Joe Bass still running SFM in his list? If not, is there any reason why?

Is this still your sideboard? How do you deal with Karakas?

    Re: [DTB] Blade Control

    Question 1:

I run 22 lands, with all of them being color producing lands. The land base feels pretty decent to me. I almost always mulligan 1 land hands with this deck though. Here's my land...

    Re: [DTB] Blade Control

I usually go -3 FOW, +3 Dark Confidant, because FOW tends to be bad against control decks. This leaves 3 Jace and 1 Batterskull I can flip -- but you usually pull Batterskull from the deck with one...

Terminus not putting cards into the graveyard can also be relevant. A couple things that come to mind right away are Dredge and Sam Black Zombies.

@Guy: Are you using the list on the prior page still? Grafdigger's Cage is sort of rough for you, since it shuts off your Snapcaster. I've never liked that interaction with this deck.

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

In the list above, 3x EE, 4x Terminus, 4x Surgical, plus spot removal and Pierces/FOW probably makes it pretty favorable.

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

I don't think I've dropped a match to Dredge yet--probably played it 10ish times. Terminus is reaaaally good here. I also tend to focus the spot removal on Ichorid. Post-board I'm usually...
