Which is exactly why Probe deserves to be banned.
I've been playing this deck for a while now (and didn't actually post something), so here's a quick recap of my last few weeks. The list didn't change for the whole time as I actually quite liked the...
I'm actually not talking about Aggroloam but that strange 4c build seijim2 and Clashed are piloting. Don't think Loam is such a big issue actually, you can usually handle their threats pretty easy....
So I've played this deck in the last three MTGO challenges, going 9-1, 4-2 and 5-2. Things I noticed are:
The deck seems to be very soft against PFire. Is there a was to get around this?
I'm not...
I liked it because it just draws two cards. Pretty simple, actually. I didn't want to play Hymns because BB, I also think that you're grinding out your opp anyway, so you don't need Hymn....
He played Hypnotic Specter, Dark Ritual, Bitterblossom, Hymn to Tourach, Inquisition of Kozilek, Thoughtseize, Dark Confidant, Liliana of the Veil, Phyrexian Obliterator, Vampire Nighthawk, Wasteland...
Hello guys and girls,
it's been a while since my last report. While my lust for Magic was at a pretty low point the last year - mostly because I was bored of playing Miracles - I still played as...
Nvm. Working now
You don't play SDT?
Well, I'd still suggest the red splash, as Wear / Tear and Blood Moon, as well as Keranos are killers in those matchups. And MUD is a Legacy deck. It's pretty fringe and unstable at times, but it is...
The only thing were I can really see Misdirection is Ancestral Vision and Hymn to Tourach. But boarding it only for the one matchup.. meh, seems to narrow.
Soooo here's the playlist of saturdays matches. As I noticed too late that my recording software was a trial (that had ended), I couldn't record directly. Rerecorded them from the replays, again...
Blood Moon is very strong against Delver. The same against lands, you do have to wait for a good opportunity though. It's not a "slam and win".
I did Top8 my second Legacy Challenge in a row...
One Wear / Tear main is golden, that I can assure you. And by now, probably some other people will, too. I still think the MU stands and falls with Chalice 1, so getting rid of that should be your...
Imho, 1 Wear / Tear is enough for that MU. Every hatepiece they find / play makes them slower, which favors you. And seeing that you actually only want to kill Choke, one should be enough. Mentor I...
I actually lost a game against Eldrazi some while ago because I couldn't produce colorless mana. -> Thorn of Amethyst, Chalice of the Void 1 and 2 Endless Ones. EE would've been pretty devastating :D...
It was an addition for the MTGO meta, were Eldrazi is running rampant atm. Seeing that more and more people are adapting to Miracles with MD hate / solutions (most prominent example being BUG and...
G1 is only unwinnable if they have the nuts. Namely being on the play, having Entomb or Study / Griselbrand, a Reanimate spell and a Daze and/or Force backup. If not it's not that bad of a MU.
You...
As this seems to go towards my boarding in R5 and/or T8, I had the "luxury" to keep 3 Terminus in due to the fact that I didn't have enough cards to board in.
Entreat was pretty much MVP all day. Sad that I didn't get matchups were Blood Moon could shine.
Soooo I got Top8 of the Legacy Challenge yesterday with a kind of strange list, went 7 - 0 (well, 6 - 0 and my last opponent just checked what I played, then conceded. Pretty smart, as I noticed that...
Yeah, I kind of brainfarted. Nvm, it's late here.
He kept 6 cards 0 lands, mainphase fetch was to set up Brainstorm -> Terminus for his next turn.
I would advise you to play against that deck a few times before you get to a conclusion like this. While Chalice 1 is their strongest play against us, it's not the only game winning one.
No personal agenda. But Mentor was very, very good against the Eldrazi menace. So for me it was the most logical conclusion. It's either lock them out for good - with Blood Moon as you said, or go...
