What is your current list?
Look up a deck called Aeon Bridge.
Countering Goyf, Confidant, Survival, Pridemage, Counterbalance, Infernal Tutor, or Burning Wish is good at any point in the game. There are of course other targets too.
One loses to wasteland.
Standstill is not a hard card to play. If they have threats, don't play Standstill. If they don't have anything going on, play Standstill.
How is that a challenging card to play?
Its all a matter of opinion, I think I'm right and you think I'm not. No worries, you don't have to play Predict, Standstill has been dead for me far too many times.
Standstill is a terrible card. It will never pull you out of a losing position, it will never save your ass from that one card, and it will never be good against a lot of decks. That being said,...
Standstill is in fact a terrible card, but recognize that the 1 card difference is pretty big.
PS.
Want to go to Knight Ware today?
I do not endorse this comment. Drawing three is a LOT better than drawing two. Imagine if Thoughtcast draw 3. It would be the most played deck in the format (Affinity), or at least some sort of deck...
Normally I would agree with you. In this case, Hibernation also gets rid of Survival and gets their Vengevines where they really don't want them to be, their hands. Hibernation is vastly superior...
Well the thing is, the other combos take two specific cards, and are easily disrupted, while Natural Order is any green creature, and they have to counter it, or kill every single creature you play,...
The thing about Natural Order is that you need a green creature... like Goyf or Pridemage or War Monk or Llanowar Elf or Noble Hierarch or Dryad Arbor... and Natural Order... and a green creature......
Umm.. Stifle and Wasteland are pretty good against Dark Depths, and they are everywhere.
Investing into a big dude is actually kind of shitty right now with all of the removal running around....
Explosives can only get to one... seems bad.
The reason this deck loves using creatures is that protecting them with CounterTop is not a hard thing to do, while protecting against Krosan Grip is a big problem.
That and not sucking against Stifle and Krosan Grip, two of the most common cards in Legacy.
What about running the other 3 possible Stifle effects in the side, seeing as they are amazing versus Zoo, attacking their mana base and stopping Pridemages. Also, personally think that the UR one...
The thing is, Bolt is a better card. The chances of doing a 2 for 1 in today's meta of mostly Zoo and Tempo Thresh, are straight up 0. (Personally I feel that Dreadstill, in general, is a horrid...
