    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

Most mono-white lists have 1-3 flex slots maindeck. I know that I'm currently on 2 Spirit of the Labyrinth for my flex slots, but those have also been Aven Mindcensor, more Mirran Crusader, Brimaz,...

    Re: [DTB] Death and Taxes

+1/+1 effects usually see sb play for primarily this situation; Dread of Night, Night of Souls' Betrayal, Golgari Charm, etc. Veteran Armorer, Wilt-Leaf Liege (if they're on black for Dread of...

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

As someone who runs both D&T and Esper Mentor, I'd definitely keep in all Plows and the Jitte. If I'm on Mentor, it's very hard for me to deal with an active Jitte, and 1cmc instant removal that...

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

Hahaha, I agree. This matchup is dreadful. Thankfully, Jund isn't quite as prevalent as it once was.

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

I'm usually at 9-10, depending on how I'm feeling that day.

    1 Horizon Canopy
    1 Cavern of Souls
1 Flagstones of Trokair (this slot is the 2nd Cavern if I decide to go with 1 sb Cataclysm instead...

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

Warping Wail is your friend. Counters Entreat and Terminus (the primary Miracles tool that wrecks us), and then deals with effectively every card in Elves (hits virtually all their dudes + counters...

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

Agreed. I've moved to 2 maindeck Mirran Crusader for that very reason. Surprisingly, my 3 sb Warping Wail do major work vs. Shardless as many of their high impact spells, especially postboard, are...

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

I dislike seeing Shardless BUG. They run maindeck sweepers (and usually more of the same in the sb) that get around our traditionally Mom protection, they run basics + DRS to play around our mana...

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

@iatee: Devoted Caretaker would be my vote if we're looking at pseudo-Mom #5.

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

I got crushed by Jund yesterday. I feel like this matchup is nigh unwinnable as they play a metric ton of removal, sac effects, and can get around the mana denial strategy with DRS.

Lol, brain fart. Yeah, Jace/Lili bites the dust. Hmm..., definitely a worthy inclusion then.

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

Is this referring to why Mom should stay in postboard or are you referring to the use of Cataclysm? Because Cataclysm doesn't help you when a board is stalled nor does it force them to sacrifice...

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

The primary purpose of Mom in the Blade matchup is to break stalled boardstates and the secondary purpose is to blank their removal. Sure, they run 4 StP (and sometimes 1 Vindicate), but also run...

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

I wouldn't cut Moms against Blade decks. That is how we win/break even in ground battles while blanking all of their spot removal.

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

The only thing I feel is lacking here is a solid card draw/filter slot. In the mono-white build, you're relying on good draws and deck redundancy to get you your answers. The black splash is...
