Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Word. It does OHKO Jace doesn't it? Didn't even notice.

I feel strangely obligated to point out that Restoration Angel will instantly flip Exalted Angel. Not that this is by any means amazing -...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Is Restoration Angel more valuable for its body, or its etb? If the latter, isn't Cloudshift always just better? I see that it's kind of just a fun card, just curious mostly - but the idea of...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Sorry if I missed some discussion, sending from phone.

@thopter foundry - don't maindeck Phyrexian Revoker + hand-revealing discard make this a separate discussion from Meekstone? I think it is...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Very yes to Lingering Souls being better than Spectral Procession. Basic Plains are not the greatest land for this deck to deal with and it's nice to be able to run Wasteland without kind of...

Re: Geist of Saint Traft is a poblem

Doesn't Massacre wreck just about every dude in our deck too, though? Unless they are outfitted with equipment of course. Do you just play out Liliana and count on her to keep control of their side...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I'm uber tempted to try this now. I suggested Spectral Procession over Vampire Nighthawk a billion pages ago but never did try it out... I don't think I even considered its synergy with Cabal...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Haunting Echoes is not a finisher. Assuming it's set up correctly it cripples the fuck out of the opponent's deck, probably allowing whatever finisher you DO have to resolve and matter. But really...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I have to say that at a glance, the equipment package is significantly weaker if you're trying to get the most out of Infect Knight - I don't like the notion that there's only one creature that...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Another thing to consider with the S-hawk thing is that this deck isn't using the Brainstorm/Jace trick with it - instead of using a grip of Squadron Hawks to turn Brainstorm into a weird Ancestral...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Besides being compatible with Aether Vial I don't see why Squadron Hawk is measurably better than like Spectral Procession. You want them to blow a Firespout? Let them do it now instead of waiting...
