    Re: Throne of Eldraine Spoilers

Does that mean that you can cast the adventure part of one of these cards with mana created from food chain? That would be sweet!

    Re: [DTB] UWx Stoneblade

Played in a local tournament with esper stoneblade, finishing second after losing to miracles in the finals. Didn’t get to fulfill my goals of eot lingering souls or thoughtseizing in the draw step,...

Re: Steel Stompy 2.0 / Ravager Shops

It's quite difficult to compare sideboarding strategies when the lists are so different. Without the splash for green the configuration and choices change a lot.

I generally leave thorns in as...

Re: Steel Stompy 2.0 / Ravager Shops

Not a fan of TKS or that list in particular. I do like the idea of choke, but I feel it might be hard to cast it consistently with the limited amount of green sources.
    I currently like spellskite a...

    Re: [Deck] Vial Goblins

Finished second yesterday in a MKM trial (for MKM Ghent) with the little green men.

    R1: UB omnishow
G1: lackey into siege-gang plus mogg war ensures plenty of pressure while cratermaker does just...

Re: Steel Stompy 2.0 / Ravager Shops

The list I last played with competitively was this one, but bear in mind this was in december. Regardless I think grixis control has not changed much in the meantime.

    4 City of...

Re: Steel Stompy 2.0 / Ravager Shops

I agree with Hinterweltler, lodestone golem for me used to be one of the better cards against miracles. It represents a fast clock while taxing literally everything they play. A friend of mine who is...

Re: Steel Stompy 2.0 / Ravager Shops

    I guess

Never played with this list though.

On another note, I played with this list in the Belgian Legacy Cup finals in december, finishing 6th.

    4 Ancient Tomb
    4 City of Traitors...

Re: Steel Stompy 2.0 / Ravager Shops

To be honest if you're going to play basics, just pick regular basics. The deck does not need actual colorless mana and using either swamps (for skirge) or other basics like plains at least provide...

Re: Steel Stompy 2.0 / Ravager Shops

Miracles is a pretty horrendous matchup if they are on the straight UW back to basics plan. This is (in my opinion) a matchup that became worse by cutting lodestone golem as it provided both a fast...

    I'm currently on this list:

    4 Ancient Tomb
    4 City of Traitors
    4 Mishra's factory
    4 Wasteland
    2 Inventor's Fair
    2 Darksteel Citadel
    1 Karakas

Re: Steel Stompy 2.0 / Ravager Shops

Mostly because of the prevalence of grixis control decks now. Grixis plays a playset of baleful strix which gets around both thorn and golem and effectively prevents your golem from doing anything....

Played in small tournament last week. Decided to go with steel stompy instead of stoneblade.

I don't think you want to remove too many revokers. If stoneblade and goblins are gonna make a comeback then you want to be able to revoke vial, jitte,...

Re: Steel Stompy 2.0 / Ravager Shops

Yeah that would be a good alternative if you play 21 lands like my usual list. I personally wouldn't go down below 20 lands.
Same goes for some of the other matchups where karakas is kinda useless.

Re: Steel Stompy 2.0 / Ravager Shops

My main problem with it is that it's a terrible topdeck later in the game. It enters the battlefield tapped and there is no real guarantee to untap it next turn.

I think I do remember our talk. I cut crucible because it did turn out to be winmore in the end.
