In my opinion OurSerratedDust is correct. With mana floating you don't want to waste land drop so you can for example use cantrips better, play land later to get hellbent or get better mana color...

You use DR when other paths won't win you the game. Without DR there will be less chances to win. Ask yourself is it better for you.
