On stream he used Nissa to make Cradle a creature to untap with wirewood symbiote. Was insane, he untapped it 3 times in one turn.

What are peoples' opinions about Dwynen's Elite in the Elves list that made top 8?
He's just mad that his shitpilebrew of the week can't be competitive.
Interesting list here:

Elite + Shaman seems good.
For sure you never side out any elves (keep scavenging ooze if you have it main). I side out 4 NO, 2 Hoof and 1 Cradle.
Surgical extraction is great! You can disrupt drawing with top or target...
This is a very effective sb plan vs Miracles which I've been doing as well. Keep 3 power on the board and save glimpses to refill when they sweep. My sb is generally +4 Decay +2 Needle + 1 Null Rod...
I'll try the 1-of Shaman of the pack. An unblockable clock is pretty sweet vs fair decks that lockdown the combat zone like pyromancer tokens. It can also speed things up a bit vs combo if you're not...
I wasn't really referring to those differences, mainly the maindeck discard/ruric thar and the REBs in sb. However, I too agree that 4 heritage druid is too much and that 4 Quirion Ranger is correct....
Oh come on guys! I'm sure there's a way we stay in the game...
Elves in it's current state:
- Natural Order is bad vs Miracles and sometimes decks with bolt/daze/pierce
- Natural Order is good...
:( So what's the solution? I guess I'll be sticking with Storm in the meantime....
Elves with 4 choke main? :P
Thanks! Was looking forward to this..great read :)
So moving forward... is Elves still a wise choice (DTT wasn't banned)? Or will it fall off the map in the new meta? :(
4 Sages seems excessive but perhaps a necessary evil...or we could have some NO targets in the main such as Progenitus and Ruric Thar.
Ok I'll try windmill slamming instead. I usually timidly place my cards on the table and ask with a quivering voice: "O--ok?".
:)
What do you guys side in vs UWR delver? Is progenitus the best option? I can't seem to beat this matchup because of all the Fow + spell pierce and the 4 swords 4 bolt + jitte +whatever sideboard hate...
Maybe Steely Resolve is better? I know you cant untap your dudes because they have shroud but at least it protects from STP/Abrupt Decay....even jitte!! Also it's green so you don't have to splash...
Do you side out glimpse and bring in NO/Pro?
You don't use your graveyard enough Game 1. I can see cruise being alright g2 and g3 once they kill all your stuff though. But I can't get behind probe in this deck...Glimpse and Ranger are so much...
Yesterday I was able to get A LOT of playtesting done vs Miracles. I'm convinced that 4 Glimpse should remain in the deck post board.
-4 NO
-2 Craterhoof
-1 Gaea's Cradle
+4 Abrupt Decay...
UR cruise doesn't play spell pierce. NO is so good right now.
I was considering library but it doesn't save me from Delvers or Jittes. UR delver is now running 2 grafdigger's cage sb and so is BUG. UWR has grafdigger's as well as some lavamancers. These are too...
@ AznSeal
My sb is this:
4 Thoughtseize
2 Duress
4 Abrupt Decay
2 Pithing Needle
1 Null Rod
1 Progenitus
I think I'll forever be sticking to 4 Abrupt Decay. Hits Jitte, Delver, Cage. No harm in siding all 4 against BUG delver (which sides in 2 cage now), death/taxes, UWR, etc...
I didn't see the game, were graveyards filled with enough spells?
But yea, I remember doing 12 with DRS in two turns (my turn, his turn) against someone for the win with energy field in play lol
So what's the consensus on 4 NO maindeck? There was an SCG open not too long ago with 4 Main in all 4 decks in the top 4. If it's sided out against softcounter delver decks and miracles is 4 main...
