    Re: [DTB] Merfolk

I have to agree on this one, Merfolk is a tempo deck. You wanna kill ur opponent ASAP and try to avoid late game battle. After looking at some posts and tournament result, I am wondering why...

    Re: [DTB] Merfolk

@tacosnape : I am still confused on when to side out FOW completely. I still get the feeling that going out without FOW is like riding your bike without helmet.
Can you give some insight on this...

About fetches, I got your point guys. Thanks for enlightening me on that one.
@purgatory, Yes I meant 13 island, not 12. My bad....

    Re: [DTB] Merfolk

About propaganda, it is indeed a good card and it won me mirror match and dredge a while ago. I always remembered how my opponent's face grinned seeing that card cause he wasnt expecting it :).

    Re: [DTB] Merfolk

Very nice explanation sir Taco, I too find it quite difficult playing merfolk without standstill as I have to make a tougher decision in what hand to keep (Especially the one without counters). With...

    Re: [DTB] Merfolk

Ok, I will try finding one more mutavault and remove those fetches. How about landcount? are 20 lands allright?
My meta does not have many vial decks, there used to be many goblins, but I dont know...

    Re: [DTB] Merfolk

I am a merfolk noob and I went to a small tourney of 12 people yesterday. The result was quite dismal. Lost to a mirror and a forgemaster-MUD.
    My MD is as follows:

    4 cursecatcher
    4 LOA
    4...

    Re: [DTB] Merfolk

    @Antonio :
General rule VS dredge : Side out standstill and kira. Side in your gy hate and spellpierce (or misstep)
General rule VS Zoo : Side out standstill and either daze or FOW. If you are on...

Guys, I have a question regarding cursecatcher. Can I sac him to counter nothing? The judges here in my country said he can't. But I always get the impression he can be sacked to himself to response...

    Re: [DTB] Merfolk

@cccck: Zoo is a bad matchup for us and spell pierce is quite useless in this mU. My version of merfolk is mono U and I always side out spell pierce and replace them with BEB. I have the same problem...

    Re: [DTB] Merfolk

Thanks for the input guys. I am still confused about choosing between kira and jittes main deck though.
My first impression on kira is : MD him if you would expect a lot of zoo or any decks packing...

    Re: [DTB] Merfolk

Versus bant aggro, which card is more useful? jitte or kira?
And in this matchup, if I have to side in 3 submerge and 2 mind harness, which other 5 cards should I take out? I usually side out 4 daze...
