I would run one and one.
If you play against elves you put both them in. If you draw the Totem you are very happy, if you draw the Chalice you are still happy. :)
And you can still use the Chalice...

Regarding the sideboard, I would play Chalice of the Void instead of Steel Sabotage... Against Affinity is amazing and you can still play it...

I played against painters a few times. I would say that is ok as matchup but I play with 10 counter maindeck plus 4 cursecatcher plus 3 in the sideboard.

D&T can be difficult, it depends a lot...

To me it seems a solid good list.

I like your idea to play the cage, I could add one on my sb, maybe removing the Jitte.

Honestly I think that Jitte is really too slow for this deck. I played...
