I disagree. Splashing withe is very hard to do since they have yet to print the blue/withe dual land, or even a withe fetch. In fact, withe isn't even a color and has 0 cards in magic the gathering....

I've also seen him sided in against decks running PTE in the sideboard and STP in the main (basically a deck with 5+ targeted removal). Is this viable too? In my testing I liked him somewhat, though...
A telltale sign that you obviously don't use the search function much. Us avid users know that it was busted beyond repair ever since the forum change awhile back.
But I do not understand people...
I played CotV in goblins for a very long time. I know it is not the same thing, but I have picked up a few things about the card that I would like to share that may help others draw better...
Nobody thinks Thada Adel could have potential in certain matchups? I'm thinking perhaps the mirror match if your opponent is playing jittes. However, unlike llawan, thada adel could have applications...
I don't think anybody else beside Bertoncini has had much luck with the UG Merfolk combination. And after testing a bunch I think the general consensus is that white offers a lot more than green if...
That's a great point Forbiddian. However, we can't be sure what factors went into why they made the decision and if those same factors apply to us. I was only trying to make a minor point, not...
You have some good points. I guess I was a little too aggressive. I'm not necessarily arguing that goblins is better than merfolk in every way, just that the points brought up before me didn't seem...
I disagree with this.
"Relevant clock." Goblins has a very relevant, and more importantly surprise clock. It comes out of nowhere which will either trick bad players or force good players to be...
People are discussing jitte for particularly the zoo matchup. I wonder about its merits in other matchups as well?
Mainly, I'm thinking merfolk. It could be okay against goblins, maybe worth...
Easy solution.
Switch decks.
You can't win every matchup. If you metagame so heavily against goblins then your deck will be horrible.
Finn, my only gripe with that analysis is section 1 part c, are you going to sacrifice cursecatcher to counter ponder? I mean I don't really know but I feel that might be kind of a waste of a...
So I have a question for experienced merfolk players. I'm pretty new to the deck still, but I've been casually reading the thread and don't think this has really been discussed all that much.
Say...
Playing goblins for many years and nowadays it is down to lackey and vial. With Merfolk, if I don't have a 1-drop, I can always fake stifle. This works surprisingly a lot. And as Taco said,...
@DDK: About Steely Resolve, would you only side it in versus red? I sided it in once against a BW deck on MWS that played 8 smotherish effects or so and it was meh. Otherwise I haven't gotten enough...
This was many posts back. However, there was not much of a response to it. I have tested both sides of the spectrum a lot lately. I agree with Tacosnape.
I am currently running a list similar to...
