    Re: Dwarf Bugs

Oh hey, this was my donation :)

Thanks for watching, I have some reflections on your notes:

I'm a pretty big believer in the Clock combo – Clock is my most often Magda target, and I win...

    Re: Dwarf Bugs

Oh no, UR Delver is awful. Probably one of the worst matchups. They kill you in the air before any of the Grist/Saga/Foundry grindy stuff matters. I've found that, depending on how reliant their...

    Re: Dwarf Bugs

I think yours is an interesting build – haven't played around with it myself but Reyav seems neat. Giving Kaldra double-strike seems pretty awesome in and of itself, and Rancor on a Valiant...

    Re: Dwarf Bugs

Grist is just a generically very good card even without Recruiter. You can still blind-flip into multiple insects, and it's your only source of real removal in the maindeck, which is pretty important...

    Re: Dwarf Bugs

I've been tinkering with this deck for a couple weeks now, here's my list:

    Main

    4 Aether Vial
    2 Retrofitter Foundry
    1 Aether Spellbomb
    4 Mothdust Changeling
    3 Universal Automaton
    3...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I mean I'm trying out 2 prismatic ending as well in the sb, and 1 EE. But as CRich3 said both tempo + CA are an issue. They start out with a lot of virtual CA – they can operate on fewer lands, they...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I think Engineered Explosives could be good out of the sideboard right now as well. If Delver is on 12 1-drops then EE has a better chance of being a 2-for-1 or better. Also great against Affinity...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I haven't tried Silverquill Silencer – I don't think it's really what Deadguy wants. It'd basically just be an aggressive beater in an otherwise not very aggressive deck. Especially in a Dark Rit...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Good to know, I'll check it out.

    Thanks – that's quite a compliment.

You could be right. I'll continue testing them in the meantime. I think Meddling Mage is actually really good in the...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Thanks! Yeah I kind of wish there was a DGA discord. I'd set one up but I'm not sure I want to deal with moderation and such.

Hmm maybe Spirit of the Labyrinth? Other things that come to mind...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I do think Opposition Agent is solid. Of course, it's not great against Delver, but a lot of the meta isn't Delver. It's great against any deck with Crop Rotation, any deck with GSZ, hits Natural...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Felt like sharing my current list after playing around with it over the past couple months:

    3 Bloodstained Mire
    3 Polluted Delta
    2 Marsh Flats
    1 Verdant Catacombs
    4 Scrubland
    1 Bayou
    1...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Yeah, Opposition Agent is definitely at its best turn 1, but it's still relevant later in the game. At worst it's a flash threat that pressures planeswalkers and carries a sword. I do find it to be...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Hi, I'm the one who brewed + donated the decklist. Push instead of Plow is to make it easier on the manabase — you don't always have/want to get white mana on turn 1. But I could certainly see...
