I did have a few test games with a mono brown list vs RUG Deliver and both trinisphere and spheres/thorn were underwhelming. The games I won were when I got hands that could cast two creatures in the...
I honestly think trinisphere is wrong in this deck, it just doesn't synergize with eye of ugin. I would play thorn of amethyst in this spot.
Sweet deck, I'm testing sth similar right now and really like the deck. Would you think that Deathrite Shaman would work well in the deck?
Played the deck yesterday to a 3-2 finish. Conclusions :
- Mentor is a sick card (duh!)
- wins: RUG Deliver, Miracles, Merfolk
- losses: 4c Loam (really bad match up), Ur Deliver (could have won,...
I'll give this list a try. I am testing the following lately, taking it for a spin tomorrow :
3 Mentor
1 Snapcaster
2 Flip Jace
4 Force
2 Counterspell
1 Spell Pierce
4 Brainstorm
4 Ponder
That's just not true. Storm, nic fit, 12post and so on use SDT. There is a quote that came to mind reading your post: "Giving up freedom to gain security is the day mankind lost".
Regarding the...
Lybaert is much more annoying. I get that not everyone is a legacy specialist and you are missing some interactions, but I expect more from a pro player. Plus he is so condescending!
This. And Survival before vengevine.
Tested this list today against high tide, burg and grixis Delver and...it is really good! The only thing i didnt like was the Elspeth because she was too slow or not needed at all (except one game...
Although this is your personal opinion I have to tell you that I can't agree with you. I think legacy is as balanced as it gets for the first time in years. Sure, there is always some annoying card...
Does anyone have a BUG Nic Fit list? I only found some weird looking lists with Gifts Ungiven and the one Arianrhod has linked in his sig. I would love to test a blue version, but except Jace and...
Hey guys,
It just got me thinking "what if"...I were a tournament organizer, what would I do to attract more players? What would I, as a player, like to improve at my LGS? And so on. So, after...
To all those who complain about cheating:
The problem is that the judges "supported" cheating. I can give numerous examples: an opponent of a guy I know plays Snapcaster (Grafdiggers Cag is in...
Keeping one colored mana source is never a plan, I think
I wouldn't change anything in the deck right now, but you could change some cards in the SB, depending on your meta.
To understand the title i have to take you back to last years Bazaar of Moxen. I played GW (obv, because its my default deck), scrubbing out the first two rounds against ANT and BUG control and...
I don't think that moving away from SFM when playing Thalia is the right thing. The first thing I would cut is Mindcensor and Elspeth. I mean, what is scarier than a first striking, Equipment...
I tutored some games for it because if you dont need it for your opponent creatures you still can use it to attack with knight and untap him after combat dmg to use him in your 2nd main phase. Obv...
I played a GW list at BOM 5 an finished 6-2-1, after losing the first 2 rounds an not losing the other 7 :P
List:
2 Forest
1 Plains
3 Savannah
4 Wasteland
1 Gaea's Cradle
1 Maze of Ith
2...
SFM= Stoneforge Mystic
Your list looks nice, but I don't like Rafiq/Rhox War Monk in there. On the other hand, it looks like a pretty straight foward list...how has been Mirran Crusader for you?
Depends on your build and how fast they are. I think Dredge is even or slightly in our favor. Storm is in their favor, but you can win. Imo it's important to start of with a Hierarch, followed up by...
Sorry, I am absolutely not your opinion. With the list mentioned above I haven`t dropped a single game against Goblins and no single match against Merfolk. Sure, the mana investment is huge, but the...
I played a Bant Tempo list with success for some weeks which plays SFM, too.
Creatures:
4 Goyf
4 Hierarch
4 KotR
2 Trygon Predator
2 SFM
I saw that game where the Team America player wiped the board with Deed and what Haakon did there.... trust me 1-2 turns later the board position looked the same/better than before Deed.
Thanks mossivo, you pretty much nailed it.
As i wrote in my report, the deck plays much like Canadian. New Horizons is slower with big creatures and absolutely not the same deck or a deck merged...
Yeah...OR you could play Goblin Sharpshooter, which is a machine gun, can gain lots of life and kill just about anything with the collar and quite a few targets without the collar. Oh, and itīs a...
