Soooo what is the "ideal" list right now then?
Here is an unlikely, but doable scenario....
Play Notes B R U Storm
LED, LP->DR - 3 0 0 3
IT -> Probe...
Yep. Thanks krosan grip.
EE was mostly there for tokens. But also woulda helped against elves, stop them from combing out too quickly.
Didn't get a chance to see mizzium but it would have been an unkicked vines. Though...
Hi all, went to a local event, 4 rounds - went 2-2-0. I haven't played in a long time so I certainly made a few mistakes, and I started to lose focus as the rounds went on.
List:
4x Noble...
I don't find it boring at all. This is my favoutire deck to play. So much so that I am getting almost the entire deck altered by a local artist. And I love crushing with it. T2/T3 kills with...
Maybe time for dryad arbor to com back in? If we adopt dig through time maybe a single Island will be necessary?
I guess we need to wait and see what decks become popular.
Went 4-1 last night (with a 1st place win thanks to breakers)
Pretty stock list.
Creatures:
4 noble
4 glistener
4 blighted
Spells:
4 brainstorm
Has anyone tried some teferi's response in the side? Seems good with inkmoth and can do great against wasteland/port strategies for keeping inkmoth out of business....
And then it helps refill...
Might worth trying a 2/1 split FoW misdirection... I have tried running a single divert in the SB instead of the 4th spell pierce. I don't get to practice as much as I would like though so maybe...
RUG delver worked because it had 12 creatures, removal and denial, and could easily operate with little mana. 8 creatures were hard to kill. We have essentially 16 creatures and no removal, our...
Can you post a list? How do you for the ponders? Are you cutting daze or pierce??
I think purphoros does help the mid game beat down plan as each new body does damage and he can pump to get a little more damage through.
Look at the finishers and let's see what they do:
Emrakul: can't do anything unless food chain and sufficient creatures or infinite.
Tidespout: can be pitched to FoW In a pinch. Hardly castable...
It is a good deck and I have it built at all times, but play it against UR delver and it is a tough win unless you draw well. Then can you by turn 4 or 5 all while having counter magic and removal...
The red comes from deathrite, birds, or food chain itself. If you can't find mana from those sources then you are probably not close to comboing off to begin with.
Trying this out:
Creatures (18):
Deathrite shaman x4
Birds of paradise x1
Shardless agent x4
Purphoros x1
Misthollow griffon x3
Vendillion clique x1
Venser, shaper savant x1
Baleful strix x2
Primer looks great! However I notice you refer to the deck as UR infect throughout. Thanks for putting it together!
I have done a little bit of play testing with the BANTr version I listed above - a lot of matches vs ANT and sneak and show. Against storm it performed very well due to the counterbalance and rest...
Hmmm I like the vela the night clad - then I can revert to a bug list with strix, deathrite, and as a plus she pitches to force.... Interesting...
Sorry I meant the bloodbraid versions which are dropping shardless... This list definitely needs work, and could probably replace the living wishes, but I like the split for versatility. E-tutor can...
I am liking the purphoros win con, and to make it more consistent, using a combination of manip fate, living wish and enlightened tutor. I was thinking something like this:
Creatures (16):
4...
BUG laughs as they play golgari charm, toxic deluge or engineered plague.
For a fetch I am trying out 3 living wish main. One misthollow in board, one purphoros and some other silver bullet creatures. Swapped the noble hierarchs for birds of paradise to have better mana...
Seeing as he is running red for bloodbraid elf - why not use purphoros as a win con? Creature when cast (ie: can use food chain mana to cast) Indestructible enchant when hits the table(ie no plow)...
