Sticky: Poll: Re: All B/R update speculation.

I play for free and have got tier decks out of it (both in the previous standard and in the current) and still have about one deck of wildcards. Each person has its method. Mine, fundamentally, you...

Re: August: Depths. September: RUG. October: ?

I remmember when a 'stable format' was a selling point.

I still think that if 'fresh' is what people want, vintage, legacy and modern should have a randomly rotating ban list.

To play a 'friendly , 'non-competitive' format, you will pay more than to play a competitive one. Yup. Makes total sense.

    Re: Rogue Decks

The top 'rogue' deck in that list is a RUG delver. Essentially, rogue these days is the same old shells with some new cards added in.

Historic, without ranked support, is DOA. To start with, it will be irrelevant for anyone starting arena since they have zero incentive to play it as opposed to standard that actually gives them some...

    Re: Legacy Innovations and Brews

I used norin/chamber in modern with WR sisters (this type of thing: https://www.mtgtop8.com/event?e=13919&d=282367&f=MO ). If you got it going it got out of hand quickly, with massive life gain...

Daretti anyone? 5-0 in a league:

    4 Marsh Flats
    1 Mountain
    1 Phyrexian Tower
  13. Re: Yes, you can afford Legacy! 10 sub-$1000 decks to top 8 a 6+ rounder in last 6 mo

Think in legacy it's more that you can spend a lot of money on an 'interesting thing' or a lot of money on a good thing.
  14. Re: Yes, you can afford Legacy! 10 sub-$1000 decks to top 8 a 6+ rounder in last 6 mo

Am I right in thinking that the decks above are very much meta dependant and than in a wide open field might very well stumble easily?

    Some amazingly cool decks there.
  17. Re: Should we embrace the use of MPC proxies in order to prevent legacy’s death?

Problem with that is the WOTC has a very reduced degree of interest in formats other than standard and limited. They embarked into modern as a way to sell more standard, not because they had any...

    Re: Core Set 2020 Spoilers

That's true as long as there's an island in the deck, irrespective of the deck.
  19. Re: Should we embrace the use of MPC proxies in order to prevent legacy’s death?

Logically, when this is the cost of a mere 12 cards:

Could be worse. Ad Nauseam is truly disturbing as art goes. Damien Hirst would be proud.
  21. Re: Where did everyone go?

Give it a couple of years. When Arena has got it's own modern format, drafting against other humans and is racing full steam ahead, MTGO is as good as dead. I was shocked with the numbers present in...
  22. Re: Where did everyone go?

I can only speak for myself but the only reason I ever played legacy was because of MTGO. There's zero chance of ever playing legacy live since:

    a) there's zero legacy play where I live
    b) I...

I'm curious about that one as well, even if I'm only looking at playing it on MTGO.
