Run the mono red version, basically Ruby Storm.

    Re: Escape Brain Freeze

Phyrexian Dreadnought sounds perfect actually! Maybe we start with something like this:

I see plenty of places to cut cards to be able to jam...

    Re: Escape Brain Freeze

It is funny, I was just thinking about a more grindy deck that runs Breach. Stifle, Wasteland, "free" counterspells, and then your combo pieces. Almost like a delver or miracles shell maybe.

    Re: Escape Brain Freeze

If a primer is started then all 3 versions of the deck should be included; URw, URg, URB.

    Re: Escape Brain Freeze

It is just another win condition in the main deck. I can see cutting it and the grinding station for a land and another silence.

This is where I am at right now and the deck feels incredible strong:

    4 Flooded Strand
    4 Scalding Tarn
    1 Prismatic Vista

    Re: Escape Brain Freeze

FTW, in some of the games I held off on "going for it" on T1. to either build up the hand or wait for protection. This build has a very high chance of going off on T1 when facing no disruption. I...

    Re: Escape Brain Freeze

I am really liking the "all in" build! It can be BF combo or it can win via ToA, EtW, or Belcher. Here is my current list.

    Sorceries (20)

    4 Cabal Therapy
    4 Cruel Bargain
    2 Dark Petition
    1...

    Re: Escape Brain Freeze

The more I try to make this work the less I like the Brain Freeze combo. Sure it can be explosive at times and the shell for it is flexible enough to be built in many ways. I really think this card...

    Re: Escape Brain Freeze

    @Lemon

Also, for your wishboard you should run a single Infernal Tutor. There are plenty of times when you should be able to get it with B-Wish, crack LED and find UB or whatever you need. Maybe...

    Re: Escape Brain Freeze

This looks great! I should have remembered that I could play Preordain. I think I was trying to get too cute with the artifact package. However, I would make some changes to your list, especially...

    Re: Escape Brain Freeze

I am not sold on Cunning Wish yet. I would rather have almost everything we need in the main. I can see running more merchant scrolls, a couple of tutorable answers and a couple of heavy draw spells...

    Re: Escape Brain Freeze

Thanks for the reply! I am happy to play PO but it means that I need to find something other than Defense Grid. It also means that the list should run 3ish copies of Grim Monolith to help keep PO's...

    Re: Escape Brain Freeze

There are so many cards that I have been trying out in this deck....some much better than others. I have played around with Paradoxical Outcome, Echo, Meditate, all the different kinds of tutors....
