Sylvan Library = Better Standstill ? Herp derp pay 12 life = draw 3 cards (over the course of a few turns though)
Just run a 1-of Humility to tutor for.
The deck looks brilliant - t1 Exploration into turn 2 Garruk and turn 3 Jace looks amazing. The Equipoise combo with Stasis is sweet too (with Stasis, the opponent's permanents get removed forever!)...
Since it counts as an enchantment, I plan on running SotL in Enchantress.

Playing a deck is a great way to learn its weaknesses/bad matchups and learn how to beat it. So, I can see people who hate TNN also use it for this reason.
You know what they should have done? They shouldn't have had any word about them being "proxies" in the auction listing and just list the cards as though they were normal, for slightly under market...
Seems abusable with stuff like Maze of Ith or just running high power creatures so it'll destroy their creatures.
This has been discussed several times before, but it was agreed that the intermingling of Nic Fit archetypes is beneficial overall.
He doesn't even mention how ridiculous the "Stompy" archetypes sound.
Why not just play 1? I know the rule is to never play a 1-of unless you can tutor for it, but Trinidad is so awful in multiples, and yet if you draw into in the mid-to-late game, it's still fine vs....
I disagree. Even if TNN isn't perfect, 3 mana for an unblockable, unkillable guy with protection from creatures is fantastic. SFM is slow and if you're killing lands, you want to capitalize on the...
If you target yourself, TNN combos with Pestilence.
Stifle does not answer TNN. You can not stifle static (as...enters the battlefield) abilities with Stifle.
Chalice was at its prime in the Mental Misstep era, in decks like Steel Stompy. After that, it became a fringe card again and has stayed there.
Could be okay as an Empty the Warrens + Glimpse of Nature deck.
The lifeloss isn't an issue. If you pay 2 life and kill a few 2/2's, you're effectively gaining life, and anyway, it deals with troublesome things (mana dorks for example).
Anvil is an excellent idea, but we'd need some other synergy with Anvil. Maybe a Loam, Raven's Crime, Anvil deck? Of course with Shaman around, graveyards aren't the best place to be playing right...
I always thought of it as Aggro, Combo, Control, Tempo and Prison as the superarchetypes. I'd like to point to Imperial Painter as a combo/aggro/control deck (ok, even though it's not even remotely...
I feel Desolation could fit in some build of Pox or even Braids staxx. Dark Ritual, Cabal Minion, Sinkhole, Smallpox/Big pox, Crucible of Worlds, Wasteland, Rishidan Port, Trinisphere, Nether Void,...
Regarding Confidant & your budget, it's getting reprinted in Modern Masters.
That works too, but its quicker to Scapeshift it out, and Burning Wishes are good on their own, so you could just run like 3 Burning Wish and zero Scapeshift in the main, + Primetime as a GSZ target...
Anyone tried using the whole DD+Stage combo to combine P-Fire-fit and Scapewish into one deck? All you need to do is take Punishing Fire Nic Fit, add in 0-2 Scapeshift, 0-4 Burning Wish, 1...
Yeah but then again, Regrowth sees no play in Legacy but Snapcaster is everywhere. Regrowth has a wider application but Snapcaster gives you a 2/1 body. Same with Bitterblossom vs. this new...
Wouldn't you still need Vial out to do this play? If you have Standstill out with Norton Thief still in your hand, and you cast Norton Thief, then Standstill's trigger would resolve first and they...
Add in the Tombstalker-Grisly Salvage package which has been tried in Eva as well, since Grisly Salvage goes great with Varolz, Tombstalker, Deathrite and Goyf.
