    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Gotcha. Thought it was being legitimately advocated, and I've gotta assume you're kidding with the 7-storm-dday pile-not-being-lethal thing.

EDIT: Huh, LM gets around some weird stuff. Anyone...

I don't really see when this would be better than

    SDT +1UU

    IU
    LED
    GP
    LED
    B. Wish

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

The pile still wins for 1U and 2 cards in hand, just replace the top with brainstorm. I'm just saying there was a better way to win, and you're disagreeing with me?

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

So what you're saying is that if the deck was played by a good pilot one wouldn't need to play with CoF? I mean, if its only purpose is to be a crutch that sounds terrible.

    I'll say it again: CoF...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Well, to get into the emrakul pile with CoF, you need to have not hit your land drop this turn, have 1U available after doomsday, and a brainstorm+2 cards in hand (to brainstorm into shelldock+CoF). ...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Geeze, I don't think I've ever emrakul'd against a situation like that. Against decks that have no burn and will tend to go creature hordes, ToA is your friend, you've gotta know what way to go in...

I don't see how annhialator 6 doesn't win you 99% of these situations. I almost never look at Emmy as damage but as massive recurring removal.

@DarthViscious: All Sun's Dawn is probably the best...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

IMO, cloud of faeries is a replacement for IGG, either MB expecting lots of non-tempo blue or SB. I can see it being better in the wish variants than the S&T variants though, since that deck has few...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Emidln, I was very taken with the Show and Tell variants pre-bannings, and have been having some luck with them even now. Do you feel like the tempo.dec matchup is any worse with your current build?...

I've been running a little bit of an experimental manabase recently, and I think this might be worthwhile in the right metagame. In the northeast, stifle is some popular between team america and...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

In my board, IT is there mainly as a MT target against discard so that you can go lethal with no cards in hand as long as you have 2 LED's in play. It also speeds up your goldfish against stuff like...

emidln, how much discard do you generally see? I think it's been almost two years since I've had to play against a a deck with more than a playset of thoughtseize like Team America. I've never...

My mana troubles have mostly happened against dreadstill and TA. The latter isn't as important as you dont have to get G to handle balance, but Dreadstill's been a bitch a few times. What did you...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

I'm really tempted to re-introduce chant into the list but I have no idea where to fit them, let alone if it's worth going up to 5 color to do so. I have enough trouble with the manabase as it is...

There are some choices that don't exactly apply to ANT, so let's get this bad boy back up to speed.

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

I've really had no problem with a manabase like:

    8 U fetch
    2 U. Sea
    1 scrub
    1 tundra
    2 island
    1 swamp

But I play the accell-heavy AdN version.

I dont think so, probably just mystical tutor=>wipe/grip before combo-ing. Although AdN and IT=>IGG dodge it nicely.

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

In that example, you can even use LED to get the post d-day mana, as the tendrils is just as good in the yard.

Mine was a singleton plains for serenity and Pikula out of the board. It's a useless land drop game 1 in 99% of all circumstances and frees up a slot for more fun things that do stuff.

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

So Brandon, would you recommend this build particularly going into a blind metagame? It's much easier to play, but it loses quite a bit of its potency by cutting duress and Kgrip. I do bet it's...
