    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

This is where I was in 2014 (from the storm boards)

    UB/g Maniac DD

    1 Lab Maniac

    4 Lion's Eye Diamond
    1 Lotus Petal
    4 Sensei's Divining Top
    1 Chromatic Sphere

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Definitely test it out and report back, I'm willing to have my mind changed.

I expect you'll end up seeing a lot of games against tempo where you end up getting 3 for 1'd, which isn't a good...

maybe...once upon a time when you could play lake and sacrifice your only other land for a ritual... probably not, but maybe. Now, no way. You open yourself up to way too many blowouts, even if...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

DTT does not speed up DD, if anything it slows it down. (at best you might DTT on 3) If the idea were a faster DD deck, you'd be playing personal tutor. DTT is ok (w/ street wraith) but not anything...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

I've done more than my fair share of messing around with lab man (and dtt) in Doomsday. Some thoughts

you want some number of LED, more than 1 but probably not 4. It just allows you to build...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

I mean, I think Infernal Contract fairly well solidifies your "card draw" spell in the board, making a second IU pretty unnecessary.

You can run another fetch if you wanted... a lot of newer...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Tendrils and IGG are just miserable, straight up mulligans any time you draw them.

In straight UBr Doomsday you might try a badlands in spot of karakas, it's not all that great, but while learning...

    for the new guys...

-take Lejay's list and proxy it up
-goldfish it a couple of thousand times the way it is
-start playing against the "meta" and working out the piles

    continue both for a...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

A lot of the questions you have are best summed up here by Emidln. It's a bit dated, but it should answer a lot and is a must read for any aspiring DD player.

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Just keep at it and read a bunch... After 2 years playing some form of DDFT almost exclusively I would still say I'm at best a novice with the deck.

Basically, the *common* pile you'll build is...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Try it out for yourself for sure, but when you test it, be honest with your results as to whether you could have only won with it or if it was just "turn off brain - kill with maniac" mode.

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

This does not happen. Rug plays bolt... which is not something they want to board out. Maverick and Stoneblade play StP, which is a perfectly reasonable way around tendrils for 20. I suppose BUG...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

You only need BBB to cast doomsday... past that, you stack the mana you need in your 5 card pile. Some versions play a bit more accel, but 4 ritual 4 LED (and a rain of filth) has been great for most...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

The problem is that the IGG pass the turn pile is only (generally) effective in the matchups you guys are talking about having trouble with (burn, u/r, zoo, etc) on turn 1. Beyond that, passing the...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

@ FLRN - I think that may be a bit exaggerated... I think simply having so many 1 drops that thresh needs to answer is fine vs. MM. They do still have to draw the card which is a 4 of (if that...

I think probe fits better in the versions that ran street wraith / Idea's Unbound.

Mental Misstep still has a pretty strong effect vs. this deck. Almost every pile requires a 1cc spell to get to...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Gitaxian Probe looks to be a strict upgrade to street wraith in the Doomsday builds that run(ran?) him.

Might have to start testing a list with IU.
