Wasn't that build just terrible when we tried it a while back?
Stp, Terminus, E Field for RIP lists, Engineered Explosives, Detention Sphere, Blood Moon. Whole piles of garbage! :)
Edit: My personal boarding:
- 4 StP
- 3 Terminus
- 1 Blood Moon
- 1...
Nope, there's already so many cuts that there are not enough cards to bring in, and Jace is blue for force and good with counterbalance. He usually gets to stay against combo as the removal spells...
Ok, that makes a lot more sense. In my area at least, Maverick has disappeared for at least 4-5 months now, so it isn't as much of a concern, and I wasn't thinking about him protecting other...
We don't care about Teeg, we can loop Emrakul, no need to cast anything he stops. Massacre is for Thalia, Ethersworn Cannonist & Meddling Mage as far as I know, someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Yeah, sounds like maybe your opponent didn't know the matchup? I've always felt hugely favored with RIP Mriacles vs TinFins, especially if TinFins doesn't go off turn 1.
I have a tentative list for this plan. Warning - this deck is super inconsistent, but very fun:
4 Serum Powder
4 Entomb
4 Goryo's Vengeance
4 Shallow Grave
4 Pull from Eternity
4 Spoils...
Agreed. I think a lot of the scarier games two and three are against the decks with no combo hate main, as they tend to overload in the board and TinFins gets hit by hate for storm, graveyards, even...
Not really, they can just leave a fetch up and not have to worry about it, and some decks have non-forest green sources (Grove of the Burnwillows comes to mind). I definitely would not want to be on...
Yes, I'd forgotten it did both. Maybe that does what I wanted to do with Abeyance, but doesn't cost a thousand mana on the combo turn.
Huh, that actually sounds like a reasonable sideboard, but working red into the manabase is pretty miserable, and you likely end up with 0 or 1 basics, which is very unexciting. I'd be curious to see...
This card does not do what you want it to do - it is a trigger, not a replacement effect, and does not combo with Helm.
For the record, Tendrils opens you up to Gaddock Teeg mattering, where lab man doesn't. I'm not sure how much of a concern that it.
Intuition is a bit slow, but basically acts as extra Entombs when you need it, and is a tutor if you absolutely need it to be. I don't think you can realistically play more than about 2, but it is...
