Re: [Deck] TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Just came here to say that this list sucks. It's like... at least 1 maybe 2 cards different than what I would play in the maindeck. Geez, get with the times. Like, what year is it, 2015? (I keed! <3...

Re: [DO NOT TRY TO SELL IN HERE] Pimp Legacy Decks

8bit was badgering me... so here is where most of my projects stand at the moment.

  5. Re: Bizarro Stormy (or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Griselbrand)

Most of the discussion of this deck has moved to the Tin Fins/Bizarro/ISZ discord here:

    https://discord.gg/gTRCEqQ

There are a few versions that people have been playing. Namely Burning Wish...

Re: [Deck] TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

This is the last known one from JBlinder a while back:

    https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1KzQj8YO2Nd5MZDfQ_2K63VNGVXUk84Fn

I'm sure a few specific card choices have changed since then, but...
  7. Re: Bizarro Stormy (or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Griselbrand)

So, for those interested, this is the 75 I took to Richmond:

    1 Badlands
    1 Bayou
    3 Bloodstained Mire
    1 Island
    1 Misty Rainforest
    4 Polluted Delta
    1 Swamp
    2 Underground Sea
  8. Re: Bizarro Stormy (or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Griselbrand)

You can't wish for that though
  9. Re: Bizarro Stormy (or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Griselbrand)

    LED makes Inner Fire sad.

I think Bubbling Muck is better in this deck. Similar, and you can recoup from the lands you tapped to cast anything, but making B mana is really important.

    Seems...
  10. Re: Bizarro Stormy (or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Griselbrand)

I tried Spellseeker in a Burning Wish list for a bit as well - overall the card felt only OK in that build. My list basically has 1 flex slot at the moment, that could be Spellseeker, Intuition, 2nd...
  11. Re: Bizarro Stormy (or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Griselbrand)

lol I was more joking than anything else. :)

Also, minor primer update coming with a link to a really sweet article that a Discord member (ManaT) wrote regarding hypergeometric probabilities of...
  12. Re: Bizarro Stormy (or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Griselbrand)

Based on the complete lack of discussion around these 2 detailed posts, I'm just going to assume that Acclimation has solved the deck. Thread CLOSED.

But seriously... I need to get some time to...
  13. Re: Bizarro Stormy (or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Griselbrand)

Acclimation bringing the heat today! What a great post and summary!

One thing to note - these are the TOP decks from tcdecks. So, putting that in GP terms - you're looking at a Day 2 type...

Re: [Deck] TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Nice writeup. I find Ancient Grudge to be interesting - do you think being able to board it in as an Entomb target outweighs something like Meltdown that you can wish for?

    I also agree on the...
  16. Re: Bizarro Stormy (or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Griselbrand)

Yes, graveyard hate is more diverse now, which makes it more difficult to combat as diversity takes more sideboard slots to answer. That's actually the reason I've switched to the Burning Wish list...
  17. Re: Bizarro Stormy (or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Griselbrand)

Played in a small-ish cash tournament over the weekend with like 32 people (ugh). 5 rounds, cut to Top 8. Here is what I brought:

    1 Badlands
    1 Bayou
    4 Bloodstained Mire
    4 Polluted Delta
    1...

How has Mastermind's Acquisition been without running the Cabal Rituals that Bizarro Stormy does?

Re: [Deck] TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Yeah, I think I was just being stupid and forgot that you had to discard any shallow graves in your hand, as you have an empty hand when Emrakul's trigger goes on the stack. Ignore that sentence -...

  21. Re: Bizarro Stormy (or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Griselbrand)

Yeah, that guy too. Really in general, there are still a multitude of good x/2 and x/1 dudes to snipe with it - it's a super versatile card. Oh, kill your flipped delver, snag your force of will, and...
  22. Re: Bizarro Stormy (or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Griselbrand)

Collective Brutality is still good - all modes are still relevant. There will likely be more diverse hate bears being played now - Teeg, Canonist, Meddling Mage, Revoker, etc. It still deals with all...
  23. Re: Bizarro Stormy (or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Griselbrand)

    Good luck!

I'm very interested to see how much Leyline pops up after the unbanning - if it seems to be common enough, that might be reason enough to consider Monastery Mentor in sideboard as we...

Re: [Deck] TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Old old old builds (Richard Cheese and mine from 2012) didn't have Emrakul - I think they were objectively worse. Emrakul opens up a lot of options, regardless as to whether you're running Goryo's...

Re: [Deck] TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Since Brutality was printed, Tendrils of Agony is not needed. You can go infinite with Brutality just like you would with tendrils, but it does so many more things. The time of Tendrils for this deck...
