That's a very compelling reason to play U/R Delver. Have you proxied Grixis? Did you have similar feelings about that deck? If yes, you can definitely treat U/R Delver as a stepping stone to Grixis...

Not sure what you have in terms of Legacy staples, but UR Delver is a great way to start investing in the format. It's a really fun deck too.
