  1. Re: [DTB] U/G/x Thresh - a.k.a. Not Quite Gro, SuperGro

Isn't this an indicator for this thread being in a bad state?

    @Wastedlife
For sure there are numerous ways to deal with that guy.
But...that thing is forcing a NQG player to react in a way no...
  2. Re: [DTB] U/G/x Thresh - a.k.a. Not Quite Gro, SuperGro

I know my english is bad...
...but sometimes i think its my chinese that is bad...

I did not test NQGb at all, but i guess Note and Predict will rank as they did in heavy white lists.
    I think...
  3. Re: [DTB] U/G/x Thresh - a.k.a. Not Quite Gro, SuperGro

That way, you have Portent (beneath Brainstorm etc.) as an additional option to setup Note, which results in Note producing Quality, instead of milling yourself at random.

I see it as a general...
  4. Re: [DTB] U/G/x Thresh - a.k.a. Not Quite Gro, SuperGro

I did some testing with Note vs. Predict during GP preparations. The odd thing about the results (which slightly favored Predict) was that, the lighter the tested version was, the better Predict...

    Re: [Revision] UR Landstill

3 Blasts are not enough. 8 would not be either imo. Wins are possible - you are not determined to loose (like UW Landstill usually is pre board) - but they are based on pure chance most of the time....

    Re: [Revision] UR Landstill

I have further tested the list with Chromatic Sphere.
As far as i can tell it is fairly balanced and absolutely usable.
None the less it still offers options for improvements.
    As i pointed out,...

    Re: [Revision] UR Landstill

Basically this is true. But the most frequent situations in which bounce is desired are to be taken into consideration.
Many of these situations are mid or late game situations, where mana does not...

    Re: [Revision] UR Landstill

I consider Stifle an outdated choice. It was an interesting one during spring 05 especially against ATS and WeldSur, but it is far to narrow, reactive and situational for being really useful in the...

Re: [DTB] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Well... i won a small tournament today with this list:

    7 Swamp, 4 Scrubland, 8 Fetchlands, 4 Wasteland, 4 Rituals
    4 Confidant, 4 Specter, 4 Wretch, 3 Shade
    4 Duress, 4 Hymn, 4 Sinkhole, 4...
  10. Re: [DTB] U/G/x Thresh - a.k.a. Not Quite Gro, SuperGro

I would join a campain pro Portent anytime (as i did several times before). As you know (likely) i am playing it over Visions for about half a year now. Nice to see you and MZ still using and...

    Re: [Revision] UR Landstill

I did not attend it - i was just lazy. :)

As i said: MD Furnaces are a very viable choice, which i used for about a dozen tournaments playing more old-fashioned versions of Ur Landstill (during...
  12. Re: Is there even a reason to judge the CaNG right now?

    I don't understand your point.
CaNGD will be finished tonight, you have got...dunno...87 entries...of which most are even more subpar than we expected. Ok. Fine.

    There are two options now:
    1....

    Re: [Revision] UR Landstill

Sorry...but...you missed pretty much every single point about Chromatic Sphere:

    1. Bolt/Brainstorm are better 1st Turn playes if you have the needed sources at hand.
    2. There is an immense...

    Re: [Revision] UR Landstill

I have not tested this, but consider it possible. I would not like that change though. 15 cards for the win (=damaging your op) is a key value for the deck. I don't want to cut those for anything...

    Re: Bunnies

I don't want to entirely doubt, this deck can put a lot of pressure on NQG in the early game...and maybe have a positive matchup, but i can't let you get away with messed up argument like this:

  16. Re: [DTB] U/G/x Thresh - a.k.a. Not Quite Gro, SuperGro

Well...i want to claim the opposite: WUBS is far more fit for an endgame in this matchup. And with about 12-16 permission spells they will enter it.
Post board you have Geddon, pre board you don't....
  17. Re: [DTB] U/G/x Thresh - a.k.a. Not Quite Gro, SuperGro

I don't see any sence in adding Pox to TheRock, but anyways:
You are rigth about it: It is close to an auto-loss for NQGw (with NQGr you can be lucky with burn at times). I put some thoughts into...

    [Deck] UR Landstill

Well…I don’t expect this revision will earn me any price, but I just have to use CaNG as a platform for promoting my pet deck.

    1. Introduction
I started a thread about this deck in the open forum...
  24. Re: [DTB] U/G/x Thresh - a.k.a. Not Quite Gro, SuperGro

    2. None the less i have to point out that you ignored some factors. Repeal is flexible. You can pitch it to...
  25. Re: [DTB] U/G/x Thresh - a.k.a. Not Quite Gro, SuperGro

We already play a 4cc finisher. So is it that problematic to play a 5cc spell on the next turn?
You can bounce Worship in the mirror (if some jerk brings it in) and just win - you don't have to do...
