I agree with this, but let's be honest here, too: Magic as a game started in 1993. And now, it's 2022 - so that's 29 years the game has existed. Of those 29 years, fetches have existed for 26 -...

I agree with this, but let's be honest here, too: Magic as a game started in 1993. And now, it's 2022 - so that's 29 years the game has existed. Of those 29 years, fetches have existed for 26 -...
"As a fast-effect..." lol The good old days.
I personally think Astrolabe is fine. I do, however, feel that Oko, Veil and Breach (change of tune) should go. It is funny though keeping a hand of three cantrips, a SCSwamp, a SCForest and an...
Two different cards that serve(d) two different purposes. I get the comparison, but there isn't really one. Probe was on a whole other level of degenerate.
I just don't think Astrolabe is ban-worthy. I mean, at best it fixes colors and replaces itself. It does make color-filtering easier, and multi-color mana bases smoother, but I just have a hard time...
After all this crap, you don't buy ANYTHING being banned in Legacy? They probably came together and put this announcement together BECAUSE of Legacy.
The 9th. I have a sneaking suspicion the house is about get cleaned, with some oldies coming back.
I haven’t been this interested in a BR announcement in a long time.
I think there's definitely credibility in a 5-0 list. However, one could make the assumption that anyone who goes 5-0 with any deck that is questionable from a higher-level competitive standpoint...
Oko isn’t getting banned in Legacy. It’s nowhere near as oppressive as W6 was, and there are other cards I’d argue in the format from a non-staple standpoint that deserve the axe before it does.
I just don't see a world where Wasteland would exist in this type of format. It would literally become Strip Mine, and Legacy would become a strange, futuristic version of old 1996 "Type II" without...
But if fetches go away, isn't every deck almost obligated to run that exact same configuration? That just seems wrong to build your mana base purposely to play around one card. (I get that some decks...
One thing to keep in mind: if you ban fetches, that makes Wasteland infinitely better. It doesn't get marginally better, because you're streaming land drops based on what you have and that's it. You...
I was hoping someone would catch that ;)
It also exists in a format where Red Elemental Blast, Pyroblast and Daze exist. I think against more aggressive Legacy strategies, Oko isn't as good as it is against Modern decks of similar ilk. But...
The problem is that it could be played in blue decks, and it was played in blue decks. They even color-coded it red and green without so much as thinking about how easy that is to pull off in Legacy....
He's saying the solution to stopping the effectiveness of W6 would be DRS by eating the lands and sticking with two toughness.
Where was this info posted?
Keep in mind Force of Negation is now a thing - if that becomes more of a thing.
So when is Legacy’s announcement?
Every time I see "no changes," I kind of get a sinking feeling a little bit. I like seeing things shaken up, especially in Legacy where it's rare you get an unbanning.
Oh, okay lol wasn’t sure!
But this is 2019, not 1994. I played during that period.
If someone double-Dark Rituals into a Mind Twist, good for them.
You know, they could just double-Dark Ritual into Ad Nauseam and win...
I'm okay with Mind Twist in Legacy. I mean, it's a discard spell. It requires an investment, and honestly, if you're looking to play the discard game and tap out to play a sorcery speed spell for >3...
Ancient Tomb will never be banned. Ever. Brainstorm has a better chance going first, and it’s been legal since the format was “1.5.”
