Withholding judgement until I hear how they work.
Expecting it to be another push towards everything being a midrange value pile though.
Ha, boy did that not happen.
Sounds like an arbitrage opportunity if one could find buyers who did care... ;)
Nothing to say about the cards' power because predictions are almost universally wrong, but wow there's a lot of really great art in this set so far. Though I am slightly offended Rin and Seri isn't...
There's no regulated market for Magic the Gathering cards, there's no "market price." You can't claim damages based on eBay sale prices changing.
Personally I'd be down to experiment with NOT having to shuffle decks ~50 times a game.
I would argue there's no actual damages to be claimed, owner of said Revised Volcanic Island still owns exactly 1 (one) Volcanic Island from the Revised Edition of Magic: The Gathering a Deckmaster...
I saw this over the weekend and had to throw it together for some games. :D
He's also 1 point behind the leader in the player of the year race that ends in two weeks and an all around great player/person to represent Magic.
Also the table microphone is a great coverage...
They haven't even announced plans to have the Modern card pool on Arena, Legacy will probably never be fully implemented there. Also once you have some Legacy cards buying the vintage-only cards is...
Yeah this card will usually have no text box in Limited so it's safe at Uncommon.
I've often found that Slow Play warnings only served to delay the tournament even more, but this is ridiculous.
Progenitus also technically has protection from all colors.
You could probably play this as a fun-of if you didn't care about your Eternal rating.
The unintuitive interaction is that you can play the Y cmc side of a card with an ability that lets you play the X side without paying its mana cost. Or Fuse them, if it happens to be a Fuse card.
Gearhulks aren't in the set because it includes cards from 8th Edition through M14.
If you want to pimp it, Antiquities copies sell for a few bucks.
If you want to Boughetto it, HERE YOU GO.
Because I'm a pedantic little **** ... the girl that created 8/8 Octopi just dumped out three of them and had them beat up your opponent(s)' creatures. The one that made a swimmy monster every turn...
So, his emblem makes artifacts permanently 5/5s. And if you get him to 8 before making it, he poops out a 5/5 every turn. That's something. For like, draft.
This is not a valid argument. There's clearly a place in a varied metagame for an archetype that beats the Tier 1 and loses to enough Tier 2+ strategies to stay near 55-45 overall. You can't...
I could see it as a fun-of in a Modern Grixis control deck, depending on how many planeswalkers are in your metagame.
Also I'm wondering if this card killing planeswalkers... intimates that a...
Chandra +2, shock you, fly Daddy's airship, fly Daddy's airship again to block, lather, rinse, repeat.
Probably awful everywhere but Standard but the flavor works.
Chalice doesn't have the word "can't" printed on it. I agree it's templated poorly and if it was designed today it would probably say "Players can't cast spells with converted mana cost X," but it...
And there's definitely gonna be some neat aether powered Kaladeshi invention from Saheeli Rai in Aether Revolt that allows Ajani and the Breakfast League to follow Tezzeret when he flees back to...
