    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Done it >3 months ago. Never had a problem. You miss Dark Rit -> Contract against Eva Green/Deadguy to refill your hand occasionally - but this has always been more like "oops, I'm randomly broken"...

    SERENITY SERENITY SERENITY.

It's just so much easier to cast with a Plains.

Referring to Canadian Thresh: Unwasteable Chant mana, so your opponent can't cut you off Chant? Sounds good to me.

Sort of. With 2 IGGs the IGG-Loop becomes an alternative kill route, it doesn't function well with only one IGG.

@BreathWeapon's list: mmmkay, you've cut protection for additional cantrips. I don't like that.

Or you're playing against Counterbalance. You never want to do that, but sometimes you have to.

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

I have to answer this with "no" since I don't play Abeyance. Note though that I play 2 Street Wraiths main and the situations that I use it as a post-Doomsday enabler are very scarce.

    Yes....

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Possible. As I said, Street Wraith accelerates the deck a little bit preboard, but is not necessary. If I had to replace them, I'd probably add the 4th Doomsday and either the 4th Mystical Tutor or a...

I'm still not sure about the value of Extirpate in the Threshold matchup. emidln said it was good, but I'm finding it to be pretty conditional. The boarding plan against Thresh is currently just...

    -2 Street Wraith
    -1 Echoing Truth

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

I'm not talking about aggro. I'm talking about AggroControl with a clock.

In order to make an AN deck work (in theory) you need to do the following:
    - Determine the value of "X", which I've used...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

It's exactly 8 (+1 for Top, if you want to count that). And it's been a while since I've tutored for Doomsday with Infernal. I also don't play Infernal main atm. Usually Doomsday costs 5, 6 or 7.

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Read his post again. He never said that.

    1) Doomsday works with 5 mana under some circumstances.
    2) The lower mana cost comes with some drawbacks. I don't think the reduced cost will outweigh...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

I haven't tested the list yet, but I'm curious: is this better than DDFT? And why?

You've cut protection and setup to build a manabase that supports Ad Nauseam. With the cutting of setup (Top)...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

It's not even good as a 1-of. It doesn't speed up the deck, because with the current manabase you can't cast it before turn 3 and you can't win the same turn you cast it. And winning on turn 4 is not...

Play Thoughtseize and Duress. It's not optimal, but probably the best replacement for Chant. You can play Xantid Swarm out of the sideboard.

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Jaiminho is correct, the stack I've posted is not optimal. It should be:

Brainstorm, 2 cards in hands, 1U
-> Top, LED, LED, IGG, Tendrils

About the goldfish: I don't think it's a necessity to...

@Trickbind: What Maveric78f said. Maybe you'll resolve your Chant, but you'll still have to combo out through an active BalanceTop.
