    Re: BUG Ninja Faeries

New list after more playtesting. At this point I think I'm committed to play this at the upcoming GP. Every card in here has been painfully playtested, even if some appear to be shoe horned in...

    Re: reserved list crumbling?

Only if you think lands like Breeding Pool are also functional reproductions of Tropical Island.
  3. Re: Jund Rhino Eldrazi Goblin Solider Faerie Tokens!

I've been trying Bitterblossoms a lot lately and have come to the conclusion that you just can't play them in Modern right now. Control has too many planeswalkers that can bounce creatures and Wraths...
  4. Re: BTL Gifts Pact Updated for WAR/MH1

My deck can only hit 3 cards off of Niv as well, but "only hit 3 cards" is kind of an insanely advantageous phrase when you're just casting a Bring to Light that gives you a 6/6 flier in addition to...

    Re: MTG Arena

Interesting. As a predominantly Modern player now I worry Historic will be a planeswalker nightmare fest of epic proportions. Standard is already mind-numbingly bad right now and they typically don't...
  6. Re: BTL Gifts Pact Updated for WAR/MH1

I've been running a Bring to Light Gifts control list with Unburial Rites combo, so somewhat different than this list, but the one thing that you should also have is Niv-Mizzet Reborn. Hitting 5...
  7. Re: Should we embrace the use of MPC proxies in order to prevent legacy’s death?

I'm interested if he plays Modern and tries to make a new take on that eskimo deck of his. Actually playable snow cards means he would have a lot more things to work with.

    Re: BUG Ninja Faeries

I have beeen trying out Plague Engineers for this and Mardu elementals. I think that may be the right choice although it feels so bad against stuff like UW control.
  9. Re: Yes, you can afford Legacy! 10 sub-$1000 decks to top 8 a 6+ rounder in last 6 mo

Neat but this doesn't factor in the cost of a plane ticket to find the nearest Legacy event.

I'm only barely joking here. It's a few hour drive for a monthly event with maybe 20 people.

    Re: BUG Ninja Faeries

Interesting, although his version can never ever beat humans or probably Eldrazi. Mist-Syndicate Naga + Fallen Shinobi give us a clock and inevitability. With just Ingenious Infiltrators and...

    Re: Tits & Six

Worst deck name I've ever seen and I've been here a loooong time.

    Re: Core Set 2020 Spoilers

When did this site become such a toxic dumpster? Like holy crap, someone says "this card is cool, I could see it being playable" and they get jumped by the snarkiest/trolliest people on the planet.

    Re: BUG Ninja Faeries

On another note I've made what I think is a big improvement in the deck. I was trying out Cabal Therapist a bunch (wrote up notes on which cards to blind call in every matchup for a few situations)...

    Re: BUG Ninja Faeries

Collective Brutality is in for a couple reasons. At one point I had 3 in just because of how good it was in game 1. Aside from being an all-around decent card, it is the only thing in the deck that...

    BUG Ninja Faeries

I've been wanting to restart playing Modern since Modern Horizons gave me my favorite mechanic back -- Ninjutsu. The mechanic is only good with a critical mass of dinky value creatures, which we now...

    Re: Core Set 2020 Spoilers

I like it. Not overly powerful but can be easily used without spending any real resources in decks like control. This puts them at a disadvantage to do so since they wouldn't get to play as many...

Re: So is this forum officially dead?

I've seen two main camps of people who have been playing for 10+ years and didn't quit: people who stick with new magic and people who don't.

People who don't like what magic turned into...

    Re: Naya Vengevine

I don't really have a suggestion on what to cut but Street Wraith seems like a must play still. Also, I like new Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis

    Crypt Rats in Modern?

Guess I'm playing a shitty deck with Swarmyard in the near future. And of course Basilisk Collar

    Re: [SCD] Phyrexian Portal

    Nevermind, was reading it wrong.

The effect is decent but at 6 mana it's hard to work into any strategy.

    Re: Naya Vengevine

Is Domri better at his job than Chandra, torch of defiance would be, though? 1 mana is a big difference on paper, but if it's for the grindy, long games then you'd be much better off going big in...

    Re: Naya Vengevine

Agreed with 4 color being too greedy. Even if no one punishes you, hitting the right colors is extremely difficult for powering Nacatl early and leaving up the right combination for other things...
