Hey, anybody still playing this deck?
A friend of mine is getting back into magic and he loves to play white life gain decks (he played that idiot life deck back in ravnica standard) and I figured...
Allright, report again from my bi-weekly legacy event.
I played the exact same list as I did in the previous tourney.
Round 1: Mono red burn
G1: I'm just way to slow to race a T1 goblin guide...
Alright, report time.
I made first place at our bi-weekly legacy tournament. This time there were 18 participants, which meant 4 rounds of swiss and the people who tied for first place has to sort...
If you get paired against elves there's a number of things you can do to slow them down and hope you get jitte active in time.
Plow their 1-drop and port their land (they are very low on land so...
The absence of thalia is indeed simply becaus I don't have anny. But I can't say i missed them...
Alright, tournament was 4 rounds, and I made first going 3-0-1 (W-L-D)
Here's what I ran:
4 Wasteland
4 Rishadan Port
4 Karakas
11 Plains
Hey, I'm taking D&T for a spinn since I heard my local FNM is legacy this week.
I'll be taking the stock list from the opening post (but with a batterskull as my 61th card)
The meta will have:...
Indeed, and tribal decks (the decks that mostly benefit from this land) usually ran aeter vial anyway. Which is more problematic as moon didn't fix that + vial is better against trinisphere than the...
It is indeed funny how more than half of the cards listed in the pol are nowhere near as strong as they were a small 3 years ago :D
Ban Goblin Lacky? or Standstil? LOL
@ron paul
you found thalia not enough to balance out the combo matchup.
But in what other matchups did you find find her useful (other then her being a lightning rod)
this might be personal preference, but I'm not that fond of thalia...
I mean, its good enough to play 4 since the opponent really wants to counter it/remove it.
In the long game (where we...
Another good thing about grunt is that when your opponent kills your jitte/batterskull,... whatever, you can just put them back in your deck and search for them again with stoneforge.
And against...
Idd, revokers are in the sideboard, but I think that SFM+equipment is what keeps this deck going, as 12 of our 19 creature's are 2/1 or 1/2 those equipments become verry relevant.
Also, baneslayer...
The flagstones are there for the sideboard armageddon (originally there for the controll matchup)
And there ARE 4 chrome moxen in the deck.
SFields had been tested and ditched in so manny...
last week I threw the following decklist together for LOLZ:
Artifacts
4 Chalice of the Void
4 Chrome Mox
1 Sword of Body and Mind
1 Sword of Fire and Ice
1 Sword of Light and Shadow
4...
Wouldn't it just be spring tide with snapcaster and intuition then?
That's already a turn 3 deck, so if that's the case I don't really see why it should bother with snapcaster...
And by playing...
Dunno, but: Baneslayer did prove to be effective sometimes... Batterskull is practically the same for this deck, only collorless (double white does become an issue sometimes...). So just maybe it...
Personaly I would cut 1 of each:
Trinisphere (you only need 1 in play anyway)
Magus of the tabernacle (unless your meta is that filled with agro)
Oblivion ring (Ive always found 3 to be enough for...
Well, Ive been running this lately with some succes:
1x Batterskull
1x Sword of Fire and Ice
1x Sword of Light and Shadow
1x Umezawa’s Jitte
4x Chalice of the Void
4x Trinisphere
Well, the buried alive/vengevine package should help there, (also in zenith builds well... zenith is pretty good there), and if that's out of your budget then maybe Steely Resolve could help against...
Trinisphere, also prevents opponents from playing spells (and chalice of the void discourages it, but the spells still get played...)
Sorry, had to fix this a bit, as it generates more storm (and mana depending on how many high tide's have been played...). Bur I agree this really looks like it might put solidarity back on the radar.
Seems cool in pox.
Discarding bloodghast, or land/redundant cards (2nd crucible,...)doesn't sound to bad for the +1 ability (also extra fodder for tombstalker)
the -2 might just be what the...
Well, using their stormcount is usually the best plan. And keeping the stormcount isnt that difficult, and you usualy dont need to worry about how high it is, or how many card they have left since...
