    Re: [Deck] UW(x) Landstill

I loathe burn with every fiber of my being. That smug look a burn player gets when they beat you, that THEY beat your 60$ dual lands with nothing but their own PWNZR skills and 10c lightning bolts...

    Re: [DTW] UW(x) Landstill

Folk and elves--I don't have the privilege of playing against goblins--both have three quality creatures that say "other elves get +1/+1" on them. This makes up, say, a quarter of their creature...

    Re: [DTW] UW(x) Landstill

That's like asking if oranges are better than apples. They are different. Standstill has specific requirements, but if you build your deck right can lead to a lot of card advantage. SDT has fewer...

Yeah, I hate that a lot. Answer decks packing the right answers against the wrong questions. Ugh.

    Re: [DTW] UW(x) Landstill

Cruicible is useful in very long games, but it's also useful in other matchups as well. If you play against, say, tempo thresh, and you drop this bad boy after two wastes and two stifled fetches . ....

Combo in my area doesn't involve ANT. I can't even remember the last time I was tendrilsed to death. It might have been aluren combo.

Anyway, Combo in my area is almost universally solidarity. ...

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

If they do, that's okay, because Your manlands > their manlands in a vacuum. However, I've played against merfolk a bunch, and this is (I think) really only relevant if you're running maindeck...

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

My apologies if I'm a little bit less that perfectly precise here, I write at work and I'm a little distracted. I also had a much longer post written, but it was really windbagg-y, so I shortened...

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

I disagree with this. Mathmatically, this deck wants 23.5 lands. Obviously, I can’t run half a land. The best solution that I can come up with is to run a 61st card that sometimes is a land and...

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

I ran 61 cards (with Tolaria West as card 61) but was convinced to cut it for another island (making E. Dragon card 61). Now I don't get EE lock nearly as often, but am more resistant to land...

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

Adding two tops (and I'm considering adding a 3rd) considerably helped my matchup against Merfolk and that tempo-thresh-like dreadstill list I constantly complain about. In your first 10 cards, you...

Not to mention how stupid pulse of the fields now is in the zoo matchup. Seriously. This weekend I played 3 games against a solid zoo list, and I stalled him out with my life total below 5 in two...

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

For one thing, many people do run jace (usually in the place of a single brainstorm).

The other difference between Landstill and UW is that 'Walker has traded standstill (which, they argue, is a...

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

But swords and path both cost one, which is problematic if they resolve dreadnought (which is more likely because of the counterbalance, because CS costs 2). Elspeth fears the fear-nought, even if...

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

I did a lot of testing this weekend, and generally sucked it up. My fault, more than the deck’s. It’s a tricky deck to play, and you need to hope that the right face is forward, depending on what...

Firstly, what's your meta like? What decks do you usually see at a given tournament?

Are the trinket mages only to fetch the engineered...
