When I saw foils at $35 a couple months ago, I snap-called. The card is distinctly named and very powerful in every format it's not banned in.
I fail to see why this is unfortunate... I'm going to be at Gencon. Matt just needs to travel East again.
It may be the opposite that's the issue. I mean, how many old Meddling Mages do you see floating around? People write off old cards that aren't expensive and leave them boxed up somewhere.
Mana Crypt has moved from $40 recently though...
Set Foil Sensei's Divining Tops are criminally undervalued... $35 right now...
/ Owns 4.
Except it's a video game with cash tournaments, etc. I'm up something like 100 tix on MODO right now after ~2 months.
When Magus was printed, Tabernacle's oracle was Sacrifice. I don't remember exactly when the changes happened, although I know it has been destroy for at least a year. (Aside: F*** Eldrazi...
Tabernacle has issues modifying it, because changing the timing of the ability to draw step, etc makes Rishadan Port even stronger. Although they could do something like pay 1 or S.
Only if they do them cross-language and foil. I'd love me some Japanese foil Force of Wills...
Jace isn't 70-75; they're on a big buylist at 77 right now.
To be fair, High Market is often used as a Bazaar of Baghdad proxy for Vintage players.
A deck with Cloudpost / Vesuva to power out Eldrazi.
My bad, guys. I assumed it was more like P3K where most of it was opened on the other side of the pacific.
It's not all about print runs... If Korean packs were only opened in Korea, what would it take for cards to make their way over to the US? Hint: A lot.
Lands plays it... thankfully I have 4 foils, but one is Portuguese.
Just sold a Ruby on MOTL for $260, in MP Condition. I don't think prices are moving very much.
There's also a tier 2-3 8-post deck that runs them.
Lands runs it as a one-of at best. I'm sure it's just EDH shenanigans again.
Yeah.... I like playing (and needing) one red source against decks that pack 4 wastes and a strip mine...
It had a serious problem with Survival. And Ooze, and Quirion Ranger. Vengevine wasn't really the issue though.
There's so little supply, it's irrelevant... if several people really want them, they'll pay whatever they need to for them.
Typically, the matchup breaks down where:
One person plays manabond (they win)
One person plays manabond and the other color-screws them out.
One person gets loam online earlier
The...
Lands vs. Lands can be over in several turn cycles...
At least there's some on ebay. When I bought mine there were none listed on ebay at all...
