  1. Re: [Official] Bitching About Prices, Buyouts and Reprints Thread

From what I've been told, it sees a lot of play in Cubes.
  2. Re: [Official] Bitching About Prices and Reprints Thread

Friend pointed it out to me:

  3. Re: [Official] Bitching About Prices and Reprints Thread

The seller I saw on ebay had: Italian (Modern legal stuff), Chinese & Korean in addition to the usual English stuff. They also had proxy Guru lands, but I don't think they were able to fake the foil...
  4. Re: [Official] Bitching About Prices and Reprints Thread

Just a heads up, but counterfeiters are now printing cards in foreign languages.

I thought I saw it mentioned somewhere before, but I figure I'll mention it again since I just noticed them for the...
  5. Re: [Official] Bitching About Prices and Reprints Thread

It was originally Aaron Forsythe that mentioned it was possible:

Not many since it's an uncommon.

  8. Re: [Official] Bitching About Prices and Reprints Thread

Modern would like to have a word with you. Check the price of some cards from the PT that just happened.

    (Prices listed are TCG Mid)
    Amulet of Vigor - $4.92
    Porphyry Nodes - $5.42

    Pretty...
  9. Re: [Official] Bitching About Prices and Reprints Thread

My LGS is doing $40 with 2 MM packs prize support per player.
  10. Re: [Official] Bitching About Prices and Reprints Thread

I agree, time for me to cash out on overpriced Modern cards once again. Using the money to finish off Shockland playsets seems like a good investment (at least for the RtR versions).
  11. Re: [Official] Bitching About Prices and Reprints Thread

EDH is the main reason since they can be added to any deck and have unique effects (graveyard shuffling and the casting bonus).

Shardless BUG (Gerry T & Todd Anderson ran the same version.) ...
  12. Re: Raise, raise, raise. The price of cardboard

I think the main reason for that though is that Ravinca duals have only been printed (online) once and the Duals were recently reprinted which dropped their price a bit from what I recall.
  13. Re: Raise, raise, raise. The price of cardboard

Just a heads up from what I saw at the SCG Open yesterday:

Before the tournament there was a large amount of people looking for Angel's Grace. SCG didn't bring any with them apparently but I...
  14. Re: Raise, raise, raise. The price of cardboard

The Duel Decks are likely the best way to reprint cards if you don't want them affecting standard. If reprinting in Standard isn't an issue, then putting them in a core set is best since those only...
  15. Re: Raise, raise, raise. The price of cardboard

My initial thought would be with Bloodghasts since you can recur them from the graveyard easy.
  16. Re: Raise, raise, raise. The price of cardboard

Only thing I've noticed so far is Hunted Horror. SCG is out of stock on non-foil at $2.99 and has 4 foils in stock for $5.99. Meanwhile Channel Fireball still has a Japanese non-foil in stock at...
  17. Re: Raise, raise, raise. The price of cardboard

On the plus side, its more incentive for people to get rid of excess sets as well. I'm gonna try to unload my extra set of Wastelands for a couple Jaces this weekend. Already unloaded 2 extra SoFaI...
  18. Re: Raise, raise, raise. The price of cardboard

I see Helm played in EDH. With Future Sight and Top people end up drawing as much of their deck as they want.
  19. Re: Raise, raise, raise. The price of cardboard

Apparently I missed something but when did Guru Islands shoot up so high?

Was looking at the newest email from ChannelFireball and they're buying them for $50 cash. Last I knew that's what they...
