    Re: [Primer/Deck] High Tide

I agree that Devastation Tide is too slow, and I dislike it even more because it can't bounce Gaddock Teeg.
I've used a one-of Cyclonic Rift in the sideboard, though, to some degree of success. In...

    Re: [Primer/Deck] High Tide

I've played Noxious Revival in Omnitell as a way to fight discard and a (bad) grave hate. It is not great, but it's interesting. I could see it being used the same way here.
    If you feel like your...

    Re: new version

I wouldn't go so far as saying the changes proposed by Titan2k13 make sure the deck doesn't work, but in fact some very basic adjustments are necessary.

Cutting Emrakul and Leyline, and running 4...

    Re: [Deck] MonoU OmniTell

    I guess it's because I'm stubborn  .
Tempo is not really rampant in my meta, but the real reason is that I don't like the fact that PoN is dead in your hand before the combo, and that it...

    Re: [Deck] MonoU OmniTell

I've tried even going up to 3 MD Intuition and 1 side. It greatly increases the consistency of the deck, and makes it a little quicker. However, as I've put them in place of PoN, my tempo match was a...

    Re: 2 questions

1.) Probably because it is card disadvantage and gives information to the opponent. But I'm not sure anyone have tested it.
2.) This has been explained plenty of times, including in the first post...

    Re: [DTB] MonoU OmniTell

I don't like Personal Tutor. I don't like it being a sorcery, I don't like it being card-disadvantage, and I don't like it providing information for your opponent about what exactly he needs to...

    Re: [DTB] MonoU OmniTell

Your friend was really lucky, but you should take into account the number of times you just killed him on turn 2 or 3
I've found that multiple hatebears - and multiple ways to find them...

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

I like the idea a lot, Cursed Scroll seems perfect in this deck.
As always, though, it is hard to find a place for it. Maybe cut some Revokers or equipment for it?

    Re: [PRIMER] Spiral Tide

This is SO true, and in fact I was about to write a post saying the same thing yesterday but discarded it since I realized I probably was in a bad mood.
I'm currently playing a list with Candles and...
  13. Re: [Article]Eternal Europe: No Candles? No Problem!

I like the idea a lot, specially due to its resiliency against hatebears. I don't like the manabase, though, because besides being suscetible to wastelands, the large number of fetches make it a...

    Re: [PRIMER] Spiral Tide

From my point of view, the main issue of using Meditates is the slot to run them. There's very few things I consider cutting from the current list, being them one or two cantrips and one or two...

    Re: [PRIMER] Spiral Tide

I wouldn't say that close to the whole world, but for sure there's a lot of people that agree on not playing 4 Meditates. Just take a look at Feline's post here.

In fact, I'm not a big fan of...

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

I fully agree with this statement. Since Noble Hierarch, and even more now with Deathrite Shaman, it is not easy to disrupt opponents manabase in the early game, and if both your and your opponent's...

    Re: [PRIMER] Spiral Tide

Run at least three cloud of faeries and attack. Back in the day I've won a mirror match in a tournament this way , one day after losing to this strategy when training versus ScatmanX.

    Re: [PRIMER] Spiral Tide

My current list is nearly identical to Di's, except I run 12 cantrips and haven't decided what to cut for Meditates yet.

By the time Maverick was rampant, though, I've used 4 Sensei's Divining Top...

    Re: [PRIMER] Spiral Tide

I've actually used 3 Helm of Awakening in my sideboard along with 4 Sensei's Divining Top in the main when Thalias, Gaddocks and Canonists were everywhere, and it surprisingly doesn't suck that much....

    Re: [PRIMER] Spiral Tide

If discard is so common in your meta, Leyline of Sanctity is an option. You should also consider Disrupt and Divert.

On another topic: Di, congratulations for the top16 in SCG Dallas!

    Re: Blue and Taxes

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

I believe that if we really want to go Wb just because of removal, there's probably better removal in B than Orzhov Charm. I don't think bringing Mom's back once in a while is good enough.

    Re: [PRIMER] Spiral Tide

    Hi all,
After a lot of goldfishing with Sensei's Divining Top, I believe I've found the main reason I don't like it and what made me fizzle more with than without it: multiple Tops are much worse...
