Maybe it doesn't make the cut, but I think Moltensteel Dragon could be a consideration.
Vampiric also grabs a one-of Pithing Needle, or can tutor for a creature when Reanimator has Careful Study + Reanimation effect in-hand, or even grabs a land when Reanimator opens with a one-lander...
I started playing some version of the list March 2012, though I retired it a few months ago when I started to downsize my Legacy collection. I think the last time I played it was around when Theros...
Do you have a hard time attacking with the eldrazi while playing ensnaring bridge? I also played around with cloudpost MUD control not too long ago. I ran metalworkers for quick starts and locus...
You know, I don't think I've played LDV since Griselbrand was printed, but I do remember having good results with it awhile back. I think I'll try running a singleton in a few events and see if I...
I liked the idea of Treasure Cruise as a way to recover after the initial combo attempt fails, but it doesn't help dig for answers to a Rest in Peace, which is why I'm thinking it doesn't have a...
Some form of Delver. Probably BUG, but they're all pretty rough.
The format is incredibly more powerful than it was 4 years ago. The decks SotF was making unviable have now either died of natural causes (forget about Zoo, when was the last time you played against...
Ah, I see. Yeah, pitching to FoW does seem important. I was just thinking Urabrask would protect against the opponent putting in relevant blockers off Eureka, but needing a card for FoW is probably...
Is the point of Maelstrom Wanderer just to give your creatures haste? It doesn't seem like you have many relevant things to cascade into. If so, would Urabrask the Hidden have merit in this slot?
This is a fair point. I don't think it should be looked at as needing two specific four-ofs in the deck, since these decks are already capable of playing turn one Trinisphere via Grim monolith + Sol...
My initial thought is that Mana Vault makes a turn one Trinisphere far too easy.
Next un-set needs an enchantment with "Spells that have resolved cannot be countered by spells or abilities."
This doesn't actually work. You have to sac the creature as part of the cost of life's legacy, so if life's legacy is the first spell you've cast, kiln fiend will only draw one card.
theillest, I think you're right about Bob. Maybe if the deck needs that effect, Phyrexian Arena might be a plan, but I'm going to try to forgoe that for now.
I also tried Demon Stompy a long time...
The Core
4 Phyrexian Obliterator
4 Desecration Demon
4 Master of the Feast
4 Dark Ritual
4 Lotus Petal
The idea being to play an evasive 5/5 as soon as possible, then ride it to victory....
Pyroclasm can't hit TNN.
Edit:
Okay, nevermind
Yeah, its not a trigger since the printed "At the beginning of your next untap phase," was changed to "During your next untap step," but its also not a replacement effect since it will return even if...
It will work the way you want.
>First tamar enters
>stack both your triggers how you want
>After Dual Nature trigger resolves, choose the legend to keep (doesn't matter which, Tamar will trigger...
I've actually been liking the flavor of TNN a lot more recently. Its like the ultimate Invisible Stalker, but for the extra U, you get 2 power and "can't be damaged", kind of like an Invisible...
Has anyone figured out a three card combo with Arbiter of the Ideal? Maybe something with Umbral Mantle?
Edit: 4 card combo: Arbiter of the Ideal + Umbral Mantle + Paradise Mantle + Power Artifact...
I went to my LGS last week looking to pick up a playset of Cabal Therapy, but they didn't have any in stock. The price increase is obviously because I personally am looking for some.
Really liked this one, Carsten. I'd also like to read more on the deck.
Yes, Reflecting Pool will be able to tap for any type of mana with a Cavern of Souls out. The spell can still be countered if using Reflecting Pool mana, but the mana won't be restricted to human...
