I'm prepping for a 1k and i took your advice before i read it, lol. I still have a torpor orb in my sideboard.
One of the few decks to maintain its stubborn usage of Spell Snare is Dreadstill, lol. Countering W&6 for U sounds good to me. I will definitely be sideboarding at least one Crucible to offset their...
I haven't tried it yet, but I get to 3 mana quite reliably with 21-22 lands and getting some extra draws from Brainstorm/Standstill. The problematic matchups are the hard-control matchups like...
Thanks! That's a cool list. It foregoes the Standstill plan for turbo-Xerox, which could be better but we get weaker to a resolved chalice. The Vision Charms and Renegade Dopplegangers are garbage...
That's literally my list I posted in the Dreadstill thread, with only 2 small changes: -3 Ponder, +3 Vapor Snag and I found a way to squeeze in 2x Spell Snare.
You sir are a ninja of fine quality.
It's easy to do; you're just going too deep. It turns dead cards in hand into a free 2/2 every turn. It's going to be quite good in Dreadstill because you can turn extra lands/dead cards into 2/2...
Burning Inquiry and Faithless Looting are hot shit with this guy. I can see casual nerds like myself trying desperately to build Bone Miser + Waste Not into a real deck.
Yeah, Scroll of Fate will definitely see play. Dreadstill decks will try it out and I'm nearly 100% sure it will see some play in Pox.
So really we're talking Grixis then, right? Snapcaster Mage and re-buying Strixes seems pretty good to me, especially with discard/permission to make sure he sticks around.
EDIT: So Grevan will be...
Meren is a 3/4, this is a 3/2. I think that makes a big difference in playability. Lightning Bolt is being played more than ever due to the uptick in UR Delver and RUG Delver. This guy is a value...
Ironically enough, I was thinking the exact opposite. I was thinking that with this new card a splash color is even less necessary. One way Dreadstill stalls out is when it doesn't draw enough...
True-Name Nemesis is a common addition to Dreadstill now, and I've played both Snapcaster Mage and Narset, Parter of Veils before. Hitting 3 lands isn't a big deal because of the higher than average...
I think that in a deck like Dreadstill this could be very good as a simple way to turn extra cards (from Standstill) into threats. In my experience I often have extra lands in hand that I wish were...
Ooh...nice catch!
