Sure perhaps >80% of the meta is on brainstorm therefore one would expect that >80% of the top16 is on Brainstorm. However couldn't this in of itself be a problem? I don't think these metas just...
Wouldn't weakening blue as you suggest lead to more of a format you're deriding ala Modern?
Why do you say this? They've stated they design for eternal formats, they just don't explicitly test for it.
From TCdecks Maverick took a couple of T8 in the last few months with a couple of T16 appearances. Young Pyro has certainly been a viable creature in a Delver shell although probably more so with...
Aye to that sir. Not sure what these new decks that are being referred.
You are that attached to a metagame about a month old?
Didn't Ben say that SCG was in favor of removing the reserve list when asked by Wizards a few years ago?
Is it truly hard to believe that folks can deem a subset of cards as "unfun" without scapegoating? I think you underestimate many players or just play with those who complain a lot. I'm sure there...
What decks in Legacy by turn 4 or 5 still have a full grip and no way to protect it?
It's very arguable that in situations where a 4-5 mana Mind Twist took your entire hand away, you were pretty far behind already.
I don't think most would stand behind this statement given the top decks are heavily comprised of a delver variants, Miracles and occasionally blue-based combo.
I'll take that bet.
Having the format funnelled into a dominant color also exacerbates the financial barrier to entry issue i.e. everyone in the format now needs the same limited number of (blue)...
I don't think it's arbitrary to consider a healthy metagame one that doesn't involve 90% of decks requiring one specific color. If the culprit was one of the other four colors, the argument would be...
Omniscience/Dream Halls allows you to cast cards for free, Enter allows you to draw cards, Mind's Desire effectively allows you to do both (although a limited degree with respect to card draw).

Because at the time it was printed, there wasn't as many good goblins out there.
Worldgorger? Combo seems tame compared to what's already out there.
Non blue will then fall to fast combo which then is held in check by blue. Classic rock paper scissors.
I think it's entirely plausible that non-blue midrange/aggro decks would see more play in said environment. Yes, blue decks would still be ran, removing Brainstorm wouldn't completely neuter them. ...
Ah, the good ol' "if you don't like it you can leave" counter-argument. I'm sure some said the same when MM and Survival were being advocated to be banned as well. Note that I'm not arguing against...
Your definition of promoting diversity seems to be just proliferating different shades of blue. Others, myself included, would argue diversity is better served with a representation across the whole...
Or just make it cost GG
I think lack of flash is fine, I was thinking ProBlue so that TNN wouldn't be able to block it forever.
I love some of these creature ideas. Since green is supposed to be the enemy of blue, how about something like -
Greater River Boa (1G)
Protection from Blue

When an opponent draws a card...
