    Re: [Deck] Pox

I have played Pox plenty of times. It is a deck with a lot of good cards, and usually four bad ones. Pox is the weakest card in the deck. Bravo with its removal.
  2. Re: [Article] Eternal Europe: Deckbuilding Made Easy

Yeah, Finn has to write some more. In the article two years ago about power creep and the part about them making cards too good by accident, this kinda made me laugh.

    Mons, I love Overmaster in...

    Re: Br Zombie Aggro Recursion

Finn's list does not have enough zombies in it. I know because I just tested it a bunch of times. Even so, I just ordered my four Gravecrawlers. I beat up UR Delver, Elves, and my friend's u-w...

Re: Knights - (K)Night and Day

How about Entomb for your Haakons. You could then include a few singletons like Raven's Crime and Life from the Loam for some cool control features.
  5. Re: [Free Article] The Legacy Cookbook: Spring 2011

I noticed that the Cloudpost Emrakul deck on that list did not have FoW. Does anyone know how and if those guys ever got that deck to be decent using only 14 blue cards with FoW? Is this an update...

    Heh,

    '"standard" maverick'

    Funny.

    That is all.
  7. Re: [Article] What Next for Legacy? Formatscaping

Yes, but 3 Zoo decks were also there. Better ban Nacatl then. If you disagree that Nacatl needs to be banned based on that argument, you are absolutely conceding that there is something other than...

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

I expect that you guys are happy with the ban of Mystical. It seems to me that this should propel this deck (and some others) into the forefront. What changes can we expect?

You guys usually side out Standstill against Zoo (and goblins?), right? It is nuts against blue and lackluster against aggro from what I have seen. So with all the shift we...

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

Entirely true. Plus, I have never understood the value of adding Living Wish to this deck. Why this deck instead of, say Counterbalance Threshold? Now, I have read people like Finn mention that...

    Sticky: Re: Introduce Yourself Here

How did you win the Dutch Champs while at the same time you say that you suck. And you have not played for so long? That is remarkable.

    Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] User Reputation

Hey, about that user reputation thing. It really does not work any better than the "crowning your pals adepts" system we have had for years. I have spoken to a few people on this site about it, and...

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

I know I have not been speaking much in this thread recently, but I still play the deck. Considering how useful stuff like BFT and Children of Korlis are simply because they come out turn 1, I think...

Poll: Re: Bringing Back Legacy To Wmass?

It seems crazy to me that an area with so many colleges does not have several Legacy tournaments a month. When TraderJ used to do his in Mobile, we just had one major university, and it was always a...

    Finn's 5k report is up.

    http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?17050-[REPORT]-5K-Orlando

Seems maindeck Forge-Tender was not such a strange choice after all.
  17. Re: Premier Mono-White/Colorless answers/tools of the format

White is definitely the color of answers. But that does not mean that it is somehow able to stand on its own better than other colors. It is a boon on defense, to be certain. But it does not have...
  18. Re: Is there a way to make White Weenie a (somewhat) viable strategy?

So you are saying that you have considered everything and there is no need to argue because you and your clone (Forbiddian) have already discovered the best possible deck? Gee, this sounds familiar....
  19. Re: Is there a way to make White Weenie a (somewhat) viable strategy?

Certainly your position has merit. But not as much as you seem to think it does. In my experience, Karakas-Mangara simply ends a lot of games. And aside from all the obvious advantages you are...

    Re: Building decks on websites

I have always used MWS, If you start the game with a deck. And start the game with another deck (both on solo), you can essentially play a mock game.
  21. [Free Article]What Next for Legacy? Where the Wild Things Are

Finn's latest installment of format analysis and prognostication. He makes a pretty convincing argument about power creep, though I still don't know if I agree.

  22. Re: [Free Article] Would Legacy Be Better Off Withouth Tarmogoyf?

SolaranX, do you realize that you are now arguing exactly what IBA wanted you to argue? You have allowed the discussion to move to degree rather than category. This was his entire point, and you...

Beastman, those sorts of tricks are important in that particular matchup, yes. But there are other resources such as mana denial, Jitte, Mangara, etc. It used to be a pretty good matchup. But I...

    Re: [Deck] Death and Taxes

    Sure it did.

I think Figure of Destiny is likely to be the real deal. If you just swap them for Stonecloakers or Flickerwisps, you should be fine.
  25. Re: [Announcement]Trader J's 4th annual Summer Bash

Nope, Trader J. Jason McPhearson or MacPherson or something like that.

Anyway, I will be there again with my crew.
