Something to bear in mind is that we have another Grand Prix with a legacy main event in less than a month. Would it really be wise to shake up a stagnant (but not -overtly- broken) format, leaving...
Why did you slide True-Name Nemesis into that list of sacred cows? It's a relatively recent printing that hasn't had a single positive impact on the format.
Honest question: if you unban Survival, is banning DTT necessary?
So what you're saying is that if Legacy Top 8's turned into 32/32 Siege Rhino 2.0, I get to sit back and laugh because I bought the cards for a junk shell and "earned" the right to shit on the...
There are lots of cards I want banned, but I don't know of banning them would be healthy. True-Name Nemesis is a kick in the balls to decks I enjoy, but now Merfolk (which was huge when I started and...
Real quick, I have a big problem with this statement right here. I have played Maverick for years and only recently acquired the cards to build Kronberger's Loam list. To do so, I turned in some...
I don't know what legacy scene you're at, but Belcher makes me chuckle - and I exclusively play decks that get shit on by Belcher. Most legacy players I know don't get pissed seeing Belcher do well,...
This thread is getting out of hand, and that's coming from someone who has pushed for *something* to be done about the cantrip cartel. The big thing about Portland wasn't Maverick taking first...
Part of legacy is a high power level, even signing up to play with design "mistakes." Banning duals or fetches would be asinine at best.
Just as a hypothetical question: how many cards do "blue" decks have to share before there will be admittance of an issue?
It would definitely hurt the power of Terminus, and is no more broken than other lines of play available.
Tweeted him. I actually really think a ban on Brainstorm, unban on Survival and Mystical would be awesome.
I want to hurt the 'blue shell' without hurting Storm too much, but I also want Survival back. Ban Brainstorm, Unban Mystical Tutor and Survival of the Fittest.
That was the point of my post. Accepting turn one dork, turn two survival (on the play, leaving mana open), opponent casts Abrupt Decay on their turn two, you get to tutor for Eternal Witness, cast...
Even accepting that Survival could tutor up an answer in response, what's wrong with that? It requires another two turns to get Survival back on the field. E-Witness and Sage are good, yeah, but...
If the bar is Griselbrand, I don't think Survival's ban is warranted anymore.
It seems you missed the second part of my post. Can I interest you in the varied intricacies of the Mono-Black Devotion vs. Mono-Blue Devotion match up?
I don't know where the idea shifted: when...
Folks, as much as we spend on Magic, we have to realize it's a game. Games can be competitive, but we're not in the Olympics here; it's a trading card game. A decent estimate of fun is the viability...
I just ordered two played ones. Hedging my bets, that way if it does get unbanned it's much cheaper to finish a set, if not I've got one to use for EDH and one to trade, or I can just finish the set...
Eh...I still need more duals. I might just order a singleton for EDH. You could throw together that Applejacks vintage deck with a playset.
In the morning? I'm still debating whether or not to snap order some Survivals.
No, we're not saying anything this week. It's a really interesting top 16. Far from the norm, but I hope this is a trend, not just an anomaly.
While I understand the meta-humor going on here, I also don't like the dismissal of requests for bans. While the meta should be given time to adapt, I've had time to quit for a year or two, come...
This is Legacy. If you don't like broken shit, play something else. I'm sorry Dr. Jones, but from what you said, you don't want to play Legacy.
Necro does bad, bad things. Think Doomsday but without having to memorize the piles or set things up at all, really.
