the card is so hard to pass up..turns our dead draws into gas..not sure how many copies i'd run but i'm definitely getting a copy or two..
8-rack in modern could really use this effect..

yo man! its a great group that is very active..
they cover everything pox or monoblack..(different builds of legacy pox, 8-rack and sometimes pauper MBC too..)
:smile::smile:
anyone else here on the FB group "smallpox: eradicate the meta"?
i'd take bitterblossom or even waste not over sign in blood or night's whisper if you're looking for a spell that generates card advantage for 2 mana..
we operate on such minimal resources so card...
thanks, i have overlooked that..
i am still running 3 sinkholes in my list even though quite a few pox players seem to have been eschewing them..
i'm thinking of toying with a singleton Tainted Ęther since 2 players in my LGS...
cabal therapy is a card that not very many people run in pox...its a good, skill-intensive card and i like it..
though we really need our spot discard to always hit when there is a potential...
i second this..
i can provide you with a stock list, containing what i think are the core cards in the mono-black version..
you don't see it often making top 8's because it is an under-represented deck but in the...
here's what transpired at the tourney:

round 1 leovold bug: (win)
in game 1, i just drew disruption after disruption..i think i was able to...
tombstalker/nether spirt non-bo:
i agree, its true that it would suck if that happens; but you're also correct when you said that those situations are rare, in fact it has never caused me any...
finished 2nd with this list a while back, would post a report soon:

i agree..the "making your opponent draw" is a bit of a bummer, but its effect can really be back-breaking against some decks..
he mentioned he's experimenting with some copies of praetors grasp at the side, he said it can get rid of a jace..interesting..
also, no chains and no voids..
hmm..27 lands seems a lot especially when you're also running 4 rituals..i'd probably cut a land, most likely the Sanitarium to free up a slot..
i second this..pox usually has trouble when opponent is able to put multiple threats on the field..i recommend some copies of toxic deluge, night of soul's betrayal or even larry niven's saucer in...
i think your a little low on the land count, i would add two more swamps in there..
-1 sinkhole, + 1 hymn to tourach..
but that's just me..
the singleton entomb feels a bit lackluster too, i think you're better of with a more high-impact card like a tombstalker(a must-answer...
1. i understand that ghasts' inability to block sucks, but being a relentless attacker, is not the only reason why its ran; it also creates incremental card advantage when you discard it to lili,...
if you're looking for that kind of effect, then Sadistic Sacrament is more efficient even without kicking it..and i think i prefer praetor's grasp than bitter ordeal....but i don't think that's...
right now, the only gravehate that i'd run in the main is surgical extraction..though what shines in spellbomb is that it cantrips..
you're right, it might be "trying to do too much" in pox..he he he..maybe in a deadman's ale kinda build..
also, her first ability becomes more powerful with a containment priest in play..
and you can blink your recruiter of the guard over and over to abuse its tutoring effect..
spinning darkness..
now i wouldn't be that too quick to judge that collective brutality is better than spinning darkness..the fact that spinning darkness is a "free spell", plus its an instant is...
a pair of trinisphere and some copies spinning darkness will significantly improve your burn match up..those cards are almost always good to have in your 75 because they also have applications...
