Not even close to Show and Tell decks.
I think my reasoning, actually my feeling (if it was rational it wouldn't matter which unfair deck I lose to) is that those decks are unfair but not dumb....

Not even close to Show and Tell decks.
I think my reasoning, actually my feeling (if it was rational it wouldn't matter which unfair deck I lose to) is that those decks are unfair but not dumb....
I just said that I don't plan to play competitive Legacy while Show and Tell is around and that is the reason.
I usually play Enchantress, so losing to combo is the norm and I take that as part of...
I hope they ban Show and Tell, because I won't be playing competitive Legacy anymore until they do. :(
Would a "fixed" Bargain, costing 4BBBB, be legal in this format?
Well, I wouldn't expect anyhting else then Bargain being better in a Bargain deck then Griselbrand. If Griselbrand was better then Bargain in a deck called Exhume BARGAIN then we wouldn't be...
Exhume Bargain
1 Yawgmoth's Will
3 Yawgmoth's Bargain
4 Soul Feast
4 Vampiric Tutor
4 Dark Ritual
4 Skirge Familiar
4 Exhume
2 Renounce
You really think that there are more ways to cheat an enchantment into play then there are ways to cheat a creature?
Rituals and Monolith and any sort of acceleration also applies to Griselbrand....
Is Bargain any more oppressive, unbeatable or whatever happens to be your favorite hyperbolic term of the day than Griselbrand?
I agree that this trinity is not very good, or even very bad, at classifying decks, but I see no better option.
Thanks for reminding me of Clique, I forgot that by turn four this control deck might have a 4/4 lifelink vigilance and a 3/1 flier (maybe carring an equipment). The definition of non-aggressive. Or...
Historically, dedicated control decks have never been proactive like blade builds are, or can be, with Jace and Stoneforge Mystic. That's what, at least for me, makes them not true/dedicated control....
So there are NO viable dedicated control decks at the moment, right?
The first quote, were I asked about UW Blade, gave me the impression that there was one.
I was saying so at one thread...
UW Blade?
I don't believe a banning reverts the metagame or the state of the format to where it was before the onset or predominance of said banned card.
Even if it does there's nothing boringier than S&T...
I think they will unban Bargain. Or ban Grieselbrand. Just in case, I'm ready!

Believe it or not, there is a lot of money involved for dealers and stores.
Whoever gets the information first can dump the soon-to-be banned in regular prices or can buyout the soon-to-be...
More like:
Flash-----------------Show and...
It seems that I didn't sound like I wanted. I was REALLY just saying that there are other ways to cheat Bargain in play.
I believe that a $1000 card being unbanned would make no difference for 95% of legacy players.
Not trying to make a counterpoint, just adding some more opinion.
Replenish also puts bargain into play. Just sayin'...
That was a good quick analysis, but you really underestimated Yawgmoth's Will and Strip Mine.
Like many, I would like to see mass unbanings, not more banned cards.
Desire was actually a preemptive ban, it was banned before being released. Jar was indeed an emergency ban, ie, a ban out of the regular schedule of updates to the ban list.
