Sticky: Re: The Ultimate Legacy Checklist

Update should come this week-end. I've been incredibly busy lately. I will also add an Excel spreadsheet for those interested.

Sticky: Re: The Ultimate Legacy Checklist

I'll do an update later today with all the feedback I've gotten.

Boartusk Liege is one of the best cards for the Goblins mirror and against stuff like Engineered Plague. I always play 1 copy in my...

    Sticky: The Ultimate Legacy Checklist

I've been looking around the web for an update to Stephen Menendian's Legacy checklist and couldn't find one that was satisfactory so I wrote one:

    Ultimate Legacy Checklist

    Thought you guys...
  4. [SCG Pittsburgh] From Rogue To Riches (Top 8 with Protean Hulk combo)

Félix Lapan, a Legacy player from Montreal, recently made top 8 at the Star City Games Legacy Open in Pittsburgh with a deck close to his hearth that he’s been tuning and playing for years.

    You...
  5. Re: 64th @ Grand Prix Providence with BG Control Loam

Darkblast is quite possibly the best card in your deck when it matters. It's been insane for me against Zoo and Goblins. Remember that with cycling lands, you can play it 3-4 times a turn sometimes....

    @Cthuloo

I think we agree fully on the Merfolks matchup. I tried to portray the overall feeling of the matchup more than straight up % since so much can change depending on builds, pilots, etc....
  7. Re: 64th @ Grand Prix Providence with BG Control Loam

I have written some more about the deck on my blog:
La Noix: BG Control in Legacy

I will update that post as time goes by with new ideas and my current deck list. Please leave your comments if...
  8. Re: 64th @ Grand Prix Providence with BG Control Loam

I'm not trying to protect the guy. This is the name associated with his DCI account. I got it from Wizards' coverage page for Grand Prix Providence. I wish I had his complete name :)
  9. Re: 64th @ Grand Prix Providence with BG Control Loam

My opinion on the blue splash was summarized perfectly by Cthuloo. The deck looks like it can easily accommodate three colors (LTFL, Mox Diamonds..) but it's difficult. You only have 14 green sources...
  10. Re: 64th @ Grand Prix Providence with BG Control Loam

You're probably right about that. I'm playing in a local tournament this week-end and was still considering Smallpox last night so it's not like I don't think it belongs at all. I should probably...
  11. Re: 64th @ Grand Prix Providence with BG Control Loam

@CthulooLove: I did consider Small Pox and tested it a little but I felt like it was so-so without LFTL and I tried to build the deck to be as good as possible without LFTL. I also didn't like to...
  12. 64th @ Grand Prix Providence with BG Control Loam

    Hello everyone!

I wrote a tournament report for Grand Prix Providence available here:
    http://manatalks.com/blog/2011/06/how-to-harvest-worms-in-legacy/

I didn't take notes so some matches are...
