No, but if you have Overgrown Tombs instead of Bayous, there will be times when you have to play them untapped and pay that 2 life against Delver (or any other deck).

Not anymore it seems :) Great to see Elves get results again. All in all I really like how the meta is looking so far.
Since I remember seeing people working at WotC mention multiple times that the reason aggro doesn't do well in eternal formats is because of combo, I don't think they're even aware of the actual...
If you mean Jace, he's not in. We already know every planeswalker in the set.
At that point a normal Sphere of Resistance would have taxed the same amount. It's only on the fourth spell that this makes things more expensive.
Also I don't think there's any point in trying to...
It can also help keep opponent's DRS active and maybe grow their Goyf if they hadn't drawn a fetchland themselves, though that's rare.
Wizard Mentor bounces your own creatures so it's very different from Reflector Mage.
It's cute, but probably far too weak most of the time.
There's also Dark Confidant, though you'd be taking close to two damage per turn on average.
Edit - https://go.twitch.tv/videos/185778032?t=04h33m55s Human deck against Grixis Delver on SCG....
You can also use Ethersworn Canonist and Kambal, though you probably don't play many of them and the latter doesn't come very early. Against Show and Tell you have access to at least Palace Jailer,...
I tested it briefly yesterday, seems surprisingly strong. The player wrote on Reddit that the white Recruiter should probably be replaced with Imperial Rercruiters. This would also allow retrieving a...

Is there any decklist available for something similar to what was just seen in the EW? I really liked how it looked and I''ve been thinking of getting a new Legacy deck finally.
Mana rocks do reduce the flashback, but I believe several members here have already tried and dismissed Faithless Looting.
I wouldn't play Browbeat in this deck even if it was just 5 damage for 2R without giving any options for the opponent. It just doesn't further our plan very much. Burn is the deck most suited to take...
I feel like Browbeat is just plain bad, regardless of what kind of a deck you're playing it in. I could kinda see it in some very low powered format, but no way in Legacy.
This is a good point. I recently won a game I absolutely should have lost, since my opponent (DnT) thought I was playing mono red Sneak Attack. He dropped a Prelate at 5 which didn't do anything to...
Redundancy matters, but I feel it's less important for Brainstorm than for the other cantrips. What sets BS apart is that it allows you to get rid of unwanted cards already in your hand. A bit too...
I've been also testing Vieko's build now and I agree on both points. LED is just stupidly good. It's also great with Act on Impulse since the cards don't go in your hand. Also I have issues getting...
Yeah the copies aren't cast so they're not countered. Also no effect on the converted mana cost.
Yeah I lost to RG lands 2-1 yesterday thanks to turn 1 Sphere of Resistance and turn 2 Thorn of Amethyst in games 2 and 3. Helms and Medallions could help, but they're very difficult to get in play...
Yeah I've had bad experiences against D&T. I know we're fast enough that we can often win before their hate comes online, but we're not always that fast. Thalia can come turn 2 and if they get...
If you're really afraid of turn one shenanigans from Reanimator, there's always Faerie Macabre. It's instant speed, costs 0 and dodges Chancellor.
I don't really like Spirit Guides either, but without them I get much worse opening hands. Also I've ended up casting the Guide several times when testing. It's never something I really want to do,...
I have thought about that too. Then again, I suspect that there's several decent (if probably not DTB level) decks that could be built from Legacy card pool but just haven't been discovered.
Also I like that you can even play a land with AOI, unlike with HUF. Sometimes it's relevant.
