    Re: MTG Arena

But it's not really free if you want to play competitive decks.

I'm a good player and I've found that even though I was playing pretty frequently on ranked ladder, to stay competitive and build...

    Re: MTG Arena

3 or so years ago I invested enough money in MTGO to build my main Legacy and Modern decks (all Ancient Tomb variants, Tron & Humans in Modern) - about $1000? - and since then I've made back that...

    Re: MTG Arena

I haven't put any money into MTGO in years.

Whereas with Arena, to keep playing competitive Standard decks I'm going to inevitably have to buy the latest packs, or play like 8+ hours a day to get...

    Re: MTG Arena

Any time you can monetize your hobby it's not a bad thing, imho.

Would you rather play Magic completely for free or be compensated (in any way) for playing the game? Why do people play in Magic...

    Re: [Deck] Mono-Blue Control (MUC)

Collective Restraint is so bad. So they have a Tarmogoyf and they pay 2 mana to kill you with it. And the card cost you 3U just to put in play. At that cost it should wipe the board or function as a...

    Re: MTG Arena

They need to allow people to make real money playing Arena outside of the Top-8 players in the world or whoever is qualified for the MPL based on it.

I can make $8-$16 an hour playing Magic Online...

    Love the Portal.

For all you Eastern PA players this a great shop to hold a tournament, especially Legacy.

    I'll try to be there.

Re: [Primer] Eldrazi Post – Colorless Eldrazi Ramp

I cut down to 3 Keys in my list anyway. And yeah, the second ability is somewhat worthless except in some corner cases when you are attacking ftw with ulamog or something.

    I think what we really...

I love it when the original artist does a creative alter like this.

    Re: MTG Arena

Why does this mean MTGO is going away exactly?

Arena and MTGO cater to two different crowds. Until they get Pauper/Legacy/Modern/Vintage on Arena, MTGO probably isn't going anywhere.

Re: [Primer] Eldrazi Post – Colorless Eldrazi Ramp

City has a devious drawback but the ability to play more than 4 sol-lands in this format helps with our ramp plan IMMENSELY.

I see people playing Urborg instead of City and I think it's a huge...

Your list looks pretty similar to the list I brainstormed for the new Karn and tried out in last week's challenge: https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/1859586#paper

I didn't put Ugin the Ineffable in...

Sticky: Poll: Re: All B/R update speculation.

I believe Karn, the Great Creator will be the next card to hit the banlist in Legacy and Modern, and the restricted list in Vintage.

Card is straight busted in every constructed format except...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

You have to play Ensnaring Bridge in the SB to make it work properly. First time you cast him, you get Ensnaring Bridge to stop the opponent from attacking him with creatures.

Re: [Primer] Eldrazi Post – Colorless Eldrazi Ramp

Despite the rather middling result (4-3) in this challenge, I think this new version is maybe the best version of the deck yet.

Re: [Primer] Eldrazi Post – Colorless Eldrazi Ramp

Urborg is almost strictly worse than City of Traitors in this deck.

Think about it - all it does it make Eye of Ugin tap for 1 mana. When Urborg comes into play,it essentially reads "Tap for 2...
