    Re: Modern Horizons Spoilers

There will definitely be a Modern Urza deck. Whether we see one in Legacy remains to be seen, I think.

    Re: Modern Horizons Spoilers

Good catch, I do think Ouphe will make it into mostly Modern sideboards but being green for GSZ is definitely a talking point. Recombiner is definitely combo material, something the new hotness of...

    Re: Modern Horizons Spoilers

Good points. I also think the Swords are somewhat of an unknown quantity at this point...they could be good enough, but I think overall the legacy community isn't clamoring to try it. Faerie Seer is...

    Re: Modern Horizons Spoilers

Guaranteed (to at least be attempted):

    Wrenn and Six (Lands)
    Force of Negation (sideboard option)
Force of Vigor (Manaless Dredge, Turbo Depths)
    Prismatic Vista
Fiery Islet (not sure if the...

    Re: Modern Horizons Spoilers

Please wander over to the modern section! I would love to get your feedback on a RUG Hollow-Vine list I posted. Its under 'Naya Vengevine', but I didn't want to make a new thread. Maybe you meant...

    Re: Modern Horizons Spoilers

Yes, that's one reason, but it's also to have removal that hits things Bolt doesn't. It was at most a 2-of for Phoenix decks, sometimes not even maindeck. Not sure where the deck is at right now. I...

    Re: Modern Horizons Spoilers

Izzet Phoenix probably wants this card, it's better than Lightning Axe in modern. I'm not sure but it might be playable as a 1-of in UR Delver for Legacy.

    Re: Modern Horizons Spoilers

It doesn't have flashback but it's a repeatable Time Warp, and cheap in a deck that already wants tons of artifacts in it. It isn't perfect, but it synergizes with Mirrodin Besieged by conveniently...

I'm pretty sure the most relevant tribe this goes into starts with an 'h' and ends with 'umans'.

    Re: Modern Horizons Spoilers

Yeah, it's big. I think there are some sleepers that this opens up for playability, if only in fringe decks. What I love about the set is that it might actually take fringe strategies and give them...

Finally, the captain of Mons's Goblin Raiders! Lots of flavor-win for this set alongside an exceptionally above average power curve. It's probably not playable, but Mogg Fanatic now does 2 damage...

    Re: Modern Horizons Spoilers

I saw this as well. This is a really cool riff on a black Morphling. I love that with a little mana investment you can have a 1/5 deathtouch blocker, and rather than bouncing it to hand you get...

Maybe 8 rack wants this? It could swap out Mutavaults for the new snow-manland and play snow Swamps. Seems very good, actually.

    Re: Modern Horizons Spoilers

I think it will be a modern card. Modern dredge is base G/R and is heavily focused on loam synergies already while playing enough lands to make this a reasonable play, usually around 20.

I was going to post something similar, 'this is a perfectly acceptable fair play by suspending t1 yadda yadda yadda'.

I don't think the new Strix is better for Shardless decks, Baleful is still...

    Re: Modern Horizons Spoilers

I love this post, I bolded the best part. While this is definitely a source of salt it's also the reason many players hate the format/haven't bought in yet. Unavoidable one-sided bullshit isn't a...

    Re: Modern Horizons Spoilers

This will singlehandedly unite Vengevine and Hollow One. It's better than Cathartic Reunion because it's a creature to help trigger Vengevines. I'm on board with this janky stuff. It makes me want to...

    Re: Modern Horizons Spoilers

Ehhh...it's not great, but it likely will serve a specific role: this thing can kill Tarmogoyfs while not being dead otherwise. The rate is still pretty good, it's a Ball Lightning split over 2...

    Re: Modern Horizons Spoilers

If I may, I think it would only work in the Mox Diamond/Loam lists. I play the ESG/Lotus Petal version and I wouldn't touch this for that deck with a 20 ft stick. Bitterblossom is just leagues better...
